Introduction

Innokin Sceptre MTL has recently released the Sceptre MTL Pod, as an updated version of the Sceptre pod system we reviewed a few months ago. The new Sceptre MTL pod is designed for MTL or RDL vaping, which can take the pod to bring the best flavors out of vape juices. If you’re a big fan of MTL vaping, we recommend you to also check out the Endura M18 from the same brand, or the OFRF Nexmini 30W pod kit offered by another prominent vape manufacturer Wotofo.

The Sceptre MTL pod runs on a powerful 1400mAh built-in battery, and has two firing modes—draw and button firing activation. It also comes with an improved MTL pod and a 0.6ohm coil to produce massive tasty vapors. The MTL pod seems to have many wonderful improvements we can expect from. The review below will give you more comprehensive information about it.

Build Quality and Design

The updated Innokin Sceptre is packed in a bio-degradable box, which looks pretty. The text “You asked, We Delivered” is stamped on the side of the box. The coil and USB cable are all wrapped by paper. The design of the MTL Sceptre is exactly the same as the original one.

The carbon black and carbon silver design is really amazing. It comes with a fairly compact size of 106mm by 29mm by 18mm and lightweight of only 95g. MTL Sceptre features a small white LED light inside the device, which will illuminate the pod so that you can easily check the juice level and refill in time.

A simple and minimalistic design covers this device as there is a clicky and responsive firing button found on this device. The whole construction is fairly impressive and the machining is top-notch. The Sceptre can easily identify between the two and automatically adjust your settings for the ultimate vaping experience.

Getting Started

  • Turn On/Off : 3 clicks on the FIRE button
  • Change Wattage: Turn device Off then press & hold fire button

Innokin Sceptre MTL Pod

The most striking difference between the Innokin Sceptre is the pod. The original version features the adjustable airflow for both MTL and RDL. It is perfect for RDL but a little bit loses for most MTL vapers.

The MTL pod features an amber coloured base and boasts the same adjustment lever. The Innokin Sceptre MTL Kit only includes one pod that can easily remove thanks to its handy knobbly section on one side.

Innokin Sceptre MTL delivers a decent MTL draw on the fully open setting and adopts a smooth and tight airflow on the smallest setting. The 0.65ohm coil offers more intense flavour than original 1.2ohm. You can get a restrictive DL draw from this pod, but not as good as the original one.

How to Fill the Sceptre MTL Pod

  • Step 1: remove the pod from the device
  • Step 2: open the side filling port
  • Step 3: fill with your favourite vape juice
  • Step 4: leave to rest for 5 minutes to fully saturated the coil.

Performance

In my experience, the 0.65ohm coil delivers decent flavour and dense cloud when the power set to 12.5w with the airflow around the middle level. If you are chasing for a tighter airflow, it is recommended to set the power to 10w. The temperature of this vape is slightly warm even at the higher wattage setting.

I am really impressed with the Innokin Sceptre MTL airflow setting. The overall performance is decent that there is almost no noise or whistle from the Innokin Sceptre MTL. It does a decent job to deliver a tight MTL draw.

Battery

Packed tightly with an integrated 1400mAh rechargeable battery, Innokin SCEPTRE works well to keep a workday vaping. The Innokin Sceptre can charge via a Micro USB port with a 1A charge. In my testing, it takes about one and a half hours to fully charge the device. The colour of the battery indicator LED will change dependant of the remain battery capacity:

  • Red: 0-10%
  • Blue: 10-50%
  • Green: 50-100%

Verdict

The Innokin Sceptre has been one of my favourite pod mod for its high quality and solid hand feeling. Innokin has done a good job on the LED light, which is very handy. Its upgrade airflow makes it a truly MTL device. Have you given it a try? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
