Introduction

Dovpo has impressed vapers around the world since entering the vaping market. Recently they announced very successful collaboration with Deer Vape, the Dovpo College DNA60 Box Mod. Powered by a single 18650 battery, it features an output wattage range between 1 – 60W. Equipped with an intelligent Evolv DNA60 Chipset, it delivers extensive TC modes, offering enjoyable vaping when paired with nickel, titanium, and stainless steel wires. For now, let’s see what this College DNA60 device has to offer.

Build Quality and Design

The Dovpo College DNA60 box mod is made of durable aluminium-alloy and measures 82mm by 54.5mm by 27mm. It’s also weighty but not too heavy. It is very comfortable to hold and feels well-built in the hands. It comes in four different colours that you can choose from black, silver, red and gunmetal. The carbon fibre panels covering the rear and sides of the device look high-end and feel high quality.

On the front of the device are three buttons: one medium-sized fire button and two smaller adjustment buttons. The fire button is perfectly placed right to thumb firing. All three buttons are tactile and responsive, offering a satisfying click.

The College DNA60 Box Mod features a bottom mount OLED display, which is crisp and bright. It clearly displays all vaping info you would like to know, such as battery life percentage, current mode, current wattage/temperature and coil resistance.

The 510 connector sits at the top plate, which can accommodate 24mm atomizers without overhang. The battery door features a quarter-turn battery cap, which is a little bit stiff. You will see the battery housing when removed the battery cap. I don’t have any concerns about the long-term durability of battery doors on this device. All of the components on this mod feel and look top-notch and opulent.

Performance

The Evolv chipset did an excellent job to deliver high accuracy and high performance. It manages the power output very well and ensues a stable vaping experience. I tested this device when using the DL RTA’s at 30 – 50W and MTL RTA’s at 10 – 25W. The College delivered consistent power and smooth hits. Under the TC mode. I used a single SS316l Alien, which is a very consistent vape without dry hits. I’m impressed by the battery life, which is easily manageable with the MTL atomisers.

Verdict

Overall, our verdict for the College DNA60 is positive! It is definitely one of the best high-quality and well-built mod we’ve ever used. The chipset is an amazing performer and you can always get the best performance from this mod. If you are looking for a powerful box mod, the Dovpo College DNA60 is a great option.
