Introduction

Geek Bar has been one of the big names in the disposable vape ranks for a while. Speaking of the brand’s growing reputation over these years, the long-established Geekvape, its parent company, should take some of the credits with no doubt. However, its products have proved to be more of the key to Geek Bar’s success.

Up to now, Geek Bar has rolled out six series coming in different specifications to cater to various consumer needs. Apart from the most initial Geek Bar, there’re also Lite ver., Pro ver., X5000, S600 and S1000.

Among all the six, Geek Bar and Geek Bar Lite have most flavor options (20+) available at present, which are continuing to expand. Hence we’d like to recommend three best flavors of the two products respectively to you. Meanwhile, this review will also walk you through the two’s differences and similarities, and which group each of them fits better.

As usual, we highlight things we like in green, and those we don’t in red, to make your reading easier. Let’s kick it off!

No matter what Geek Bar product it is, fruity flavor runs through every series. Menthol seems to follow up as the second most common flavoring in all Geek Bar line-ups. With at least 20 flavor options to choose from both Geek Bar and Lite, picking a good one out might be a big toughie for you. So we’ve chosen the best 3 flavors from each of them to help you make quicker decisions.

3 Best Geek Bar Flavors

  • Sour Apple

sour apple

Don’t step off for the name. This one actually tastes like those fresh apples growing quite well under a good gardener’s care. There’s no sharp tartness dominating taste buds even though “sour” might lead some of you to think so. Specifically, “sour apple” is decidedly sweet with merely a subtle acidity. What pleases us even more is the cooling effect on every inhale. It’s soothing and beautiful. Definitely worth a try.

  • Sweet Strawberry

sweet strawberry

This liquid feels very akin to sweet ripe strawberries. It’s not the 1:1 realistic strawberry, but like certain highly-rated strawberry-flavored candies or ice cream. No worries that you’ll get struck by lousy synthetic flavorings. You won’t get wrong with this one. The only thing it would remind you of might be a leisurely Saturday afternoon blowing strawberry bubble gums with friends in your early childhood.

  • Menthol

menthol

The best menthol juice should produce the superb icy blast as if we just finish brushing the teeth with strong mint toothpaste (personal preference). This one has made it exactly this way. It sweeps my mouth and nostril with minty hurricanes on every inhale and exhale, and leaves a refreshing aftertaste for a long long while. Mint enthusiasts should never miss this out.

3 Best Geek Bar Lite Flavors

  • Peach

peach

Vaping on this one feels like a bite of peach you just picked from a yard moments ago. It’s more like the taste we get from authentic peach flesh instead of some synthetic shams. The taste is mild and soothing enough to keep me desiring for one more drag repeatedly. Rather suitable for everyday vaping.

  • Lush Ice

lush ice

It’s an icy mint liquid that makes me impressed on the first inhale. The menthol is really spot on, making me relate to some crispy smell in the woods after a heavy rain. Besides, on exhale I can feel a hint of fresh watermelon taste following up to expand the entire flavor range. Strongly recommended for people who like liquid in refreshing style.

  • Lemon Mint

lemon mint

It does exactly what it says on the tin. Before starting off my drags, a pungent lemon aerosol has shined through. The liquid seems to me more of a clean and delicious mojito drink, while less of a lemon fruit directly mixed with mint leaves. It doesn’t fall under the range of highly bitter and acidic flavors, but only carries a mild note of refreshing sourness.

Geek Bar vs. Geek Bar Lite

Performance

Similarities

Both two excel at delivering authentic and long-lasting flavors. We found very little flavor loss after vaping on both for quite some time. What’s more, almost all their pre-filled liquids, regardless of the specific flavor, are marked with well-balanced sweetness, which tastes adorably refreshing. To simply put, they’re not the kind that would get you bored quickly after several drags.

Geek Bar Lite

Differences

Geek Bar creates warm vapor, which could have been a definite upside, for me at least. However, we found the “warm vapor” would go too far when we took a hard draw. It became too hot to bear. Geek Bar Lite didn’t present similar issues. Or rather its vapor just came out like room temperature.

There’re some more differences in the two’s vaporization. Geek Bar‘s vapor comes in moderate amount and always leaves smooth but noticeable hit in the throat. By contrast, Geek Bar Lite only produces plumes of airy clouds. Its flavor intensity doesn’t compare to Geek Bar either. For vapers looking to move away from cigarettes, Geek Bar is doubtlessly a better gadget in terms of both throat hit and the ability to deal with cravings.

Design

Similarities

Geek Bar and Lite are both in rounded bar shape, signature Geek Bar style. An enlarged “GEEKBAR” is printed on one side, and the brand logo on the other. Their mouthpieces are both flat and a good fit with lips.

Differences

Overall the two products are more different than alike in the appearance. Geek Bar features a double-layered shell, consisting of a transparent PCTG outer shell and a colorful inner one. The colors change with flavors, all in bright and vibrant shades. The design is honestly not my type though. It looks to me somewhat flashy. But we just cannot deny this one creates rather comfortable grips, for its shape and material as well.

To the contrary, Geek Bar Lite utilizes some kind of matte materials and thus looks understated. And the large area of shaded diamond patterns on its body has provided a stylish touch to itself. Besides, it has almost no rival in portability—it’s really light and tiny. While we found that made it feel less comfortable in hand rather, as we’ve got to take more efforts to grip the little device.

Price

  • Geek Bar

Eightvape: $8.99 (≈£6.7/by today)

  • Geek Bar Lite

NewVaping: £4.50 (≈$6.04/by today)

If only focusing on the price tag, an eight-dollar-or-so vape does look attractive. Lots of disposables on offer today are sold at higher than 10 dollars. However, it doesn’t mean Geek Bar products is a real bargain, after all it holds 2ml liquid only. Those other seemingly costly products actually have expanded themselves to accommodate much more liquid, say 5ml Hyde Edge at $10.49, which lasts for over 1,000 puffs.

Even though with the similar price range, the pricing of Geek Bar or Lite is not that competitive. Look at the 4.8mL Elf Bar of up to 1,500 puffs, which costs only $7.88 right now at Eightvape.

Verdict

The biggest advantage of Lite version over Geek Bar is its unmatched portability—that’s what a lite thing is meant for. For me personally, its appearance seems more pleasing aesthetically. However, if the two points are not really what you care about, the normal Geek Bar would be a winner. It atomizes the liquid way better and is apparently more ergonomic.

Have you tried the Geek Bar or Geek Bar Lite yet? If yes, what do you think of them, and what’s your favorite flavor? If not, maybe you want to have a try now? Leave your comments below! We hope this review is helpful for you.

Common Questions and Concerns about Geekbar

Geekbar is claimed to have 575 puffs which equal to 48 cigarettes. The data is provided by Geekbar. From our personal experiences, a 2mL pod can last for about 400-500 puffs depending on people’s habits. A cigarette lasts for about 10-15 puffs on average.
