Device
The appearance and design of both the Vaporesso XROS 3 and XROS 3 Mini is similar to those of their predecessors, with a rectangular, long body and round, sleek corners that set them apart as being from the Vaporesso brand. They both feature a smooth metallic and matte touch. And they’re comfortable and easy to hold in our hand.
While needless to say, the Mini version is smaller and lighter than the XROS 3, thus more suitable for vaping on the go. There’s another difference in their outer covers: every face of XROS 3 is smooth, while XROS 3 Mini adds embossment on its façade.
Vaporesso XROS 3 Mini is a minimalist pod system, without any bells and whistles that further our vaping experience. While XROS 3 has some more to offer. The incarnation places a tiny button in a concentric circles shape on its front, and an airflow control slide on the rear. The button can be used to activate the device, (draw activation is also allowed), and meanwhile it can double as a switch to turn the pod on and off. That would be great if we want to save battery life as much as possible. Additionally, the simple AFC system enables us to adjust through three different levels to customize our experience.
Vaporesso XROS 3 and XROS 3 Mini adopt the same color scheme. You can choose from eight attractive colors for each, including eye-catching options like Rose Pink, Royal Gold, and Mint Green, as well as more discreet options like Space Grey, Black, and Navy Blue, so there’s something for everyone.
Pod
The Vaporesso XROS 3 kit is supplied with two pods with different resistances so you can choose the best vaping experience to suit your preferences. One is a 0.6ohm pod which is ideal for RDTL vaping, and the other is a 1.0 ohm pod for MTL vaping.
The Vaporesso XROS 3 Mini kit only retains 0.6ohm mesh pod, although it’s also compatible with other XROS pods. It’s just you need to buy them separately.
These Vaporesso XROS pods adopt top fill system. We need to prize the mouthpiece open before the fill port is accessible for refills. Refilling is hassle-free, but it might need a little force to take the mouthpiece off.
Battery & Charging
The battery built into the Vaporesso XROS S and Mini is both 1000mAh – powerful enough to ensure sufficient capacity for all day vaping. When it comes down to functions, the Vaporesso XROS 3 pod kit doesn’t offer anything too out of the ordinary, let alone the Mini version. In fact, they’re very simple, practical devices that is a great choice for newcomers to vaping thanks to its user-friendly design and ease of use.
There are no complex modes to pick from. Wattage is not adjustable either. Vaporesso XROS 3 allows for a bit of customization, like you can choose the right pod depending on which vaping style you opt for: either RDTL or MTL. We could also slide the airflow slider to one of the three different options to restrict our draw.
We won’t have anything to worry about the two devices in terms of safety either, since there are inbuilt protections against overheating, short circuiting and more for your peace of mind.
Performance
While some pod devices offer a less than stellar performance, the Vaporesso XROS 3 and Mini don’t disappoint honestly. We enjoy plenty of dense, warm vapor that is sure to satisfy from both of them, and although the clouds aren’t enormous, they’re pleasing enough for most MTL enthusiasts.
If you enjoy a loose MTL vape, you’ll especially appreciate XROS 3 and its mini version, since even with the airflow hole fully closed, the 0.6ohm mesh pod allows for a rather airy experience.
Nevertheless, the flavor delivery of the two is just average, though it’s consistent. Vaporesso XROS 3 and XROS 3 Mini are not the best ones to go for if you’re finicky about the intensity of flavor you get from a vape.
Ease of Use
As for the Vaporesso XROS 3 Mini, there’s literally no learning curve even though you’re new in the world of vaping. Aside from regular refills and charging, you can just enjoy your flavorful puffs without any worries about any complex set-ups.
The Vaporesso XROS 3 might be a tad more complicated, but only so when compared to the Mini version. It’s still easy to work with.
