The Aspire Vrod 200 is a compact device with a portable size of 88mm by 46mm by 30mm. It is constructed by aluminium-alloy chassis, making it a pleasure to hold. The part of the Aspire Vrod 200 is covered by luxurious leather, which provides a high-end look with a soft and comfortable touch. Vaping data is easy to read via an 0.96inch TFT colour screen that takes account of visual effect and high-grade appearance, the graphic user interface has been improved to be more simple and understandable to everyone. It displays all key vaping data such as power, resistance, number of puffs and battery power. The Vrod 200 offers 5 screen colour options and Brightness adjustability. The Aspire Vrod 200 features fire press button and up/down buttons, which is clicky and responsive.
Functions and Features
The Aspire Vrod 200 houses dual 18650 batteries and is capable of up to 200w. It adopts a durable and slide-open battery door that is super convenient to install batteries. The device can be charged via a fast Type-C cable with 2A charging rate. Equided with a smart ASP chipset system, the Vrod kit supports multiple output mode settings and personalized UI setting. Using the Variable Wattage mode, the Vrod 200 can automatically control the power output to deliver the best vaping experience. The Bypass mode can support the strongest vape possible by channelling the max power from the batteries. The Custom Power Setting allows you to set your perfect vape by selecting a power level and firing time. It boasts an intelligent CRC design to protect the children without limit on adult users’ experience. The Aspire Vrod 200 also comes with the overall protection for safe use, such as short-circuit protection, low voltage protection, over-discharge protection, over-heat protection and overcharge protection.
Aspire GUROO Sub-Ohm Tank
The Aspire Vrod 200 mod is paired with the highly innovative Guroo tank, which delivers an enjoyable sub-ohm vaping. Adopted the innovative “Attach-Pull-Release” coil replacement, you can change the coil by simply pull down the airflow control ring, and then the coil will be popped up. The top filling design allows for a convenient and sanitary refill, just rotate to remove the top cap and fill your favourite E-liquid. It features a lead-edge coil technology with a precise airflow system to deliver a tight or loose inhale to meet different vaping style.
The Aspire Vrod 200 mod provides two coil options, 0.15ohm Mesh Coil rated for 60-70W and the 0.3ohm Mesh Coil rated for 40-50W. After testing two coils, I found that the 0.15ohm coil performs best at 65w with slight airflow holes open. I can get the best flavour with the smoothness of its draw from 0.3ohm coil when rated for 45w. Two coils are specially designed for cloud chasers and to bring a decent flavour and vapour experience.
Verdict
Overall, I’m very impressed by its form factor, coil performance and advanced functionalities. It is a great option for camping and outdoor activities.
