Introduction

With a long-standing good reputation for a line-up of pod products, such as the Endura M18 14W pod and EQ FLTR 9.5W pod, Innokin has been in the spotlight again recently with a pod mod, the Sensis 40W Pod Mod Kit. It gets power from a strong 3000mAh battery and has an output range from 6 to 40W. The Sensis consists of a 3.1mL visible glass pod, and a 510 adapter for connection to different rebuildable atomizers or sub-ohm tanks.

The Innokin Sensis features flexible compatibility with both 0.25ohm and 0.65ohm coils, allowing us to enjoy versatile vaping experience—no matter you’re a nic salt or freebase e-juice champion, or pursue MTL or DTL drawing, you can have fun with this device. Actually, we got reviews on several pod mod kits which also allow for a variety of vaping styles, like the Uwell Aeglos H2 and Geekvape Nano. How does the Innokin Sensis compare with its competitors? Read on and you’ll figure out which one fits you best!

Build Quality and Design

The Innokin Sensis is a pretty portable pod mod, standing at 121mm by 40mm by 30mm. It comes with a durable zinc-alloy construction that is very comfortable to hold. The rounded edge and leather design fit nicely in the hands. It is available in five colours: carbon, desert brown, jet black, navy blue and ultra pink. I grasped the Carbon one, which looks pretty cool and there is no scratched or faded after using it for one month. The minimalistic branding “Innokin” is embedded on one side and the “Sensis” on the other side.

Innokin Sensis

The Innokin Sensis boasts a full-colour screen, which is placed on the front of the mod. It is very bright and easy to read even under the sunlight. It clearly shows the key vaping info like wattage, voltage, resistance and battery levels. There are two adjustment buttons positioned underneath the screen. Above the screen, there is a panel squeeze button, which is responsive and delivers an audible click when pressed. None of the buttons rattle.

Pod and Coils

The Innokin Sensis pod has a 3.1mL e-liquid capacity and can fill with your favourite e-liquids through a port on the underside. It features a round pod connection, which is an ingenious design. There is a hole in the central position, allowing the base of the coil connects with the port. The pod can be rotated 360 degrees and fit in at any rotation when connected.

The Sensis pod is constructed by a glass dome with a metal mouthpiece port and a metal base. The glass can produce a better flavour, comparing with some of the plastic pods. There is a little sliding handle on the back and an air hole towards the front on each side of the device. You can close the airflow holes by sliding the handle to the left and open them by sliding it to the right.

Operating Modes and Find-F

The Innokin Sensis adopts several working modes to meet different vaping needs. The power mode allows you to select the voltage or wattage setting dependant on your own vaping style. When using the refresh mode, you can choose Extended (Hold) and ‘Run 1x (Auto). What makes the Innokin Sensis really shines is the Find-F (F0 Mode). You can enter this mode by pressing the UP, DOWN and FIRE buttons in sequence. Under the F0 Mode, you can choose the frequency, replaces the volt and set the wattage.

Performance

The kit includes two coils, a 0.25ohm Scepter-S Coil rated for 25 – 35W and a 0.65ohm Scepter-S Coil rated for 9 – 12W. I tested the 0.65ohm at 9w, which provide a great hint of flavour with the airflow open. And then I fire it up to 12W, it was an enjoyable MTL flavour. I tested the 0.25ohm coil with a 50/50 Nic Salt at 20w. It was like an MTL with the airflow fully open, offering a smooth draw and fresh flavour. I got the best result when rated for 35w with airflow halfway down. Nice MTL flavour!

Battery and Charging

The Innokin Sensis runs on a 3,000mAh battery, which can charge via a Type-C cable. The battery can last all day when using it at 35W and last 2 days with normal use at 12w. It takes 1.5 to 2 hours to charge it from dead to flap. It uses a battery bar with changing colours to show battery levels.

  • Red: less than 20%
  • Yellow: 20 – 50%
  • Green: Above 50%

Verdict

Overall, the Innokin Sensis is an innovative and powerful pod mod kit. What the Sensis does wonderfully is its plentiful operating modes and well build quality. It also performs well with the 3.1mL Sensis Cartridge and two coils. If you are looking for a compact and solid pod mod, take a look at this one.
