The OXBAR G8000 disposable vape is available in 10 flavors, including Watermelon Slushie, Strawnana, Double Apple, Sakura Grape, Rainbow Skitlz, Cool Mint, Mango Peach, and Kiwi Passion Kick, Peach Ice, and Mad Blue.
If you are a veteran vaper, you are probably somewhat familiar with these flavor profiles as they are fairly common e-juice flavors. The names may be a bit unique, but the general idea behind the flavors is not. This can be a good thing if you’ve tried similar flavors and know what kind of flavors you gravitate toward.
Besides these flavors, the manufacturer of the G8000, Mi-pod, has already announced additional flavors, but we won’t cover these because they are not yet officially available and may change before release.
We had the opportunity to review three of these flavors: Mad Blue, Sakura Grape, and Kiwi Passion Kick. These flavors are reviewed in more detail below. We’ll have to abstain from forming an option on the 7 flavors we were unable to review.
Mad Blue – I think the Mad Blue flavor must be a riff on blue raspberry. It’s a bold flavor that’s well-balanced by the combination of sweet and sour. You get notes of both on each, and every inhale. It took me a little bit to warm up to the flavor, but once I got used to it, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 3/5
Kiwi Passion Kick – The moment I tried the Kiwi Passion Kick vape flavor, I was instantly struck by its bold, fruit-forward profile. The kiwi flavor is the star of the show here, with a refreshing sweetness that really shines through. The passion fruit flavor is more of a subtle note in the background, but it adds a nice layer of complexity. It’s a little bit tangy, a little bit sweet, and it balances out the kiwi perfectly. 4/5
Sakura Grape – With the Sakura Grape flavor, the grape comes through strong and true – like biting into a lusciously ripe, juicy grape. As for the body shape, the G8000 is rounded on all sides, meaning there are no harsh edges. The vape is a bit bigger than the well-known Elfbar, about the size of a deck of playing cards.
The USB-C charging port is found on the underside of the device, while the mouthpiece is offset to one side, similar to OXBAR The Fox.
Opposite the mouthpiece you find a place to attach the lanyard that comes with the OXBAR G8000. This provides a convenient option for carrying around the G8000 handsfree.
There are no advanced features on this device, like a battery level indicator or airflow control, but that’s honestly not uncommon for disposables.
