The last Geekvape vape we reviewed is the Geekvape Obelisk 65FC pod mod kit, which is an upgraded vape of Obelisk 65. It looks like Geekvape is upgrading its vapes to a fast-charging version. Today, we are reviewing the first pod system in Geekvape’s Aegis series – Aegis One and 1FC. It’s exciting to have a drop-proof pod system for daily use since small vapes such as disposable vapes and pod systems are more portable and more likely to be carried around and get damped, scratched, and dropped. Is Aegis One also a great performer? Let’s find out with us together.
By the way, we highlight aspects we like in green, and those we don’t in red, to make your reading easier.

Performance – 8
Geekvape One and 1FC’s max output voltages are both 3.7V, and they have 3 power modes.
Here is the voltage for 3 modes: Green light: 3.7V; Blue light: 3.4V; Red light: 3.1V.
We used a sweet grape e-juice with 30mg salt nicotine. The e-liquid was not a sweet one and it has a bit of coolness. Aegis One delivered better and richer sweetness on the 0.8Ω coil than the 1.2Ω coil. The coolness was obvious on both coils. It can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on the users’ preferences. Vapor production was ok. We had an average cloud, and we didn’t experience burnt flavor or flavor loss when vaping.
However, the three power modes didn’t show much difference in vaping. From the data above, we could tell, when using 0.8Ω coil, each mode only had a 2-3W difference. The three modes are more likely to be designed for power display to us. When the battery is running out, the red light will be on that reminds you to recharge.
Design – 8
Device
Geekvape Aegis One and 1FC look the same except for the LED lights. One has only 1 LED light while 1FC has 3. You can find the classic design elements on Geekvape Aegis One & 1FC. Aegis One and 1FC are slim. They fit great to our female members’ hands, yet are a bit small for males. The colors of Aegis One are also beautiful. It has a zinc alloy body, combined with leather ornament. However, make sure to wipe the e-liquid residual from your hands before using, otherwise, the oil marks will be all over the device. We got the blue silver and black, and we prefer the blue silver, which has a silver body and denim pattern. A really nice combo.
The quality of Aegis One feels nice to us. It does have a thick and solid body. We accidentally dropped it on the floor a few times when we were testing, and there was no scratch at all.
In general, Aegis One’s design is conservative. If you are low-key and like simple design, you will like Aegis One.
Pod
Geekvape ONE & 1FC share the same pod. The mouthpiece of the pod is comfortable to lips. It’s flat and not too small. You can get a decent amount of flavor when inhaling. The coil is irreplaceable, which makes Aegis One a real pod system that you need to throw the whole pod away after one is done.

Function – 8
Geekvape Aegis One & 1FC don’t have fancy functions. You can charge them with a type-C charger (a must-have for nowadays’ starter vapes). You can switch power mode by clicking the button 3 times. The light color will change, too.
Battery
Since Aegis 1FC is featured for fast charging, we tested the charging time when we run out of the battery (the red light flashes when we vape). It took about 14 minutes to fully charge (when all three green lights were on). We will update our lab test result on the charging rate, too.
Airflow
Aegis One & 1FC don’t provide airflow adjustment. We had loose MTL vaping on both 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω coils. But if you are into tight mouth-to-lung vaping, Aegis 1 FC pod might not be the one for you.
Ease of Use – 7.5
Pod
You can find three indents on the side of Aegis One pod. That is the e-liquid window for you to check the remaining juice without taking the pod off, which is very convenient. Nevertheless. Aegis One pod can be only inserted into the device in one way and so does the mouthpiece. It has an irregular design. Therefore, we had to look at the pod carefully when we were trying to inserting it into the device. Besides, since a lot of pod systems’ pods can be installed from either side and we are used to the design, Aegis One pod seems to be inconvenient to us.
E-Liquid Filling
Aegis One Pod is designed to be top filling. It’s easier to remove the mouthpiece when the pod is installed on the device. We found the same situation in Uwell Caliburn G2. Speaking of the top-filling system, we prefer Uwell’s filling hole with the silicone on it and Vaporesso’s PTF design. These two offer more assurance to leakage proof in our perspective. We removed the mouthpiece for leakage check, we did find some liquid leakage after 2 refills of e-liquid. After all, for a pod system, we would carry it everywhere and we don’t want to see any e-liquid stained on our bags or pockets.
Button
The button of Aegis One is on the opposite side of the side where Geekvape logo is at. It’s not wobbly, and you can easily press it if you prefer button-firing. But, Aegis One doesn’t come with accidental-trigger proof, that you can’t lock the button. We had pressed the button accidentally quite often when we were holding it in our hands or just put it on the desk.
Price
Geekvape One: $28.00 (Coming soon)
Geekvape 1FC: $29.40 (Coming soon)
Verdict
At first sight, we were intrigued and captured by Geekvape Aegis One and 1FC’s outlook. We all loved the low-key and casual business style. Aegis One and 1FC did great job on flavors, just like Geekvape always does. However, in terms of the ease of use, there are some still rooms for Aegis One and 1FC to improve. Since they are the first vape pens in Aegis series, we expect to see more fascinating starter vapes from Geekvape, too.
