Introduction
Innokin is one of the most recognizable brands and known for its spectrum of designs from elegant devices in the vaping industry. Recently, Innokin launched a new pod kit, the EQ FLTR, which continues its supreme integrity.
The Innokin EQ FLTR pod vape kit is a small and compact device, featuring a draw-activated firing mechanism and a 2mL refillable pod to provide delicious vapour. It is also compatible with the SCEPTRE Coil Series. How does this vape perform? Let’s see!
Build Quality and Design
The Innokin EQ FLTR is a solid build device. It features a pen design with one squared offside so that it won’t roll away when leaving it on the table. On the body, there is a vape juice level viewing window, which allows you to check the e-liquid easily. The branding EQ FLTR logo is not obvious.
Innokin EQ FLTR boasts a zinc alloy chassis that is pretty tough to hold. I have been using it for a few weeks and there is no dents or scratches. It comes with a portable size of 90.9mm by 16.8mm. It can be slipped into my pockets and rucksack easily.
The Innokin EQ FLTR features soft filters that are smaller than those of standard cigarettes. You can get the most authentic sensation of smoking. The lid can protect filter tips and delivers a more comfortable vaping experience.
Getting Started
The Innokin EQ FLTR is very easy to use that suitable for a beginner. Just Screw the coil into the coil base and then press-fit into the pod, open the silicone plug to refill with your favourite vape juice, leave it for 5 minutes to fully saturate the coil, insert the mouthpiece into the pod. There are no buttons at this vape, the only thing you need to do is to inhale and then enjoy your vape!
Pods and Coils
The kit comes with a 2ml pod and compatible with a 1.2ohm SCEPTRE Coil. I tested the Innokin Sceptre 1.2 ohm coil before and it performs well to deliver awesome MTL vape. It tested this coil with my favourite strong tobacco and fruity flavours, the Black Note Legato. I can say that’s a real smoking experience but in a more healthy way! The flavour from this kit is also is incredible thanks to the filtered lit cigarette.
The vapour produced by the EQ FLTR is a little bit cool and will be cooler when the battery gets depleted. The flavour diminishes after half of the pod. That’s not a big deal if you are a transitioning smoker. If you are a heavy smoker, it is suggested to use at least 12 mg regular nicotine or 30 mg salts. I’ve used the 70VG juice with this coil, but I found it perform better with 50/50 juice. It can deliver a more satisfying throat hit.
Regards to the coil life, it was needed to replace after two refills when using the 30 mg salts. It can last longer and goes strong after five refills with 12 mg regular nicotine. Overall, the 1.2 coil comes with decent performance.
Battery
The Innokin EQ FLTR runs on a tiny 400mAh internal battery. It doesn’t use Type C charging but still charges quickly. The 400mAH battery can support about 2 hours of use. It also can be used pass-thru vaping. I hope next time Innokin can upgrade the battery performance.
Verdict
I really enjoy testing this Innokin EQ FLTR. This has been one of my favourite starter kit I’ve ever used. It is very easy to operate and is a nice choice for a transitioning smoker and HnB user. The flavour from the Sceptre coil is wondrous.
