1. Introduction
The VOOPOO ARGUS P3 is a pod vape that focuses on portability while still offering full power control and support for the newest ARGUS Snap Cartridge system. It brings a full color display, step-less airflow control, and top-fill 2 mL pods into a compact aluminum-alloy body. The vape runs on a 1,500 mAh battery with variable wattage up to 30 W, giving it enough range for both MTL and restricted lung hits.
On paper, it leans toward the lighter, more traditional side of the Argus lineup, yet it carries the same adjustable power and iCOSM 2.0 pod system used across VOOPOO’s newer devices. Let’s take a closer look at what this device has to offer!
2. Design and Quality
The VOOPOO Argus P3 has a very compact, square “mini box” shape built from a durable zinc alloy. You can get the vape in two styles – one with a solid metal chassis, and another wrapped in leather for a softer feel. The edges are rounded in either style and the matte metal shell has a smooth, satin finish that resists fingerprints.
The front is dominated by a 2.01-inch TFT HD display with a dual-curve plastic panel that softens the edges and makes the screen feel a bit larger than it is. It’s a true touchscreen, not just a decorative watch face, so you can swipe through menus and adjust settings directly on the screen. The interactions are incredibly smooth and the layout is simple to navigate.

The brightness is strong enough to stay readable in daylight, and the watch-style faces make good use of the high-resolution panel. It also doubles as an actual watch – you set the time the first time you start up the vape.
The airflow slider sits on the side of the device. It’s a step-less sliding bar, allowing for more granular tuning. It moves smoothly but stays in places once you set it. One button sits on the other side of the device, doubles as an activation button and way to power on the screen.

2.1 Pod Design
The P3 uses the new ARGUS Snap Cartridge, a 2 mL top-fill pod built around VOOPOO’s updated iCOSM 2.0 system. The pod is fully transparent, so you can always see your liquid level from the side or the front. The top cap pops off cleanly with a small amount of pressure. It definitely doesn’t feel flimsy, but it’s easy enough to remove with one hand. Underneath, the fill port has a bright red silicone plug.
Because the pod fills from the top, you never have to pull it out of the device just to refill. The internal chimney is centered, and the coil sits low enough to use most of the tank before needing a refill. The mouthpiece is a nice wide duckbill that has a comfortable curve and doesn’t feel bulky. The cartridges snap firmly into the device with a reassuring click, and magnets help guide the pod into position.
Two coil options are available at launch:
- 4 Ω for warm RDL vaping
- 7 Ω for looser MTL

Both use the iCOSM 2.0 airflow architecture, which balances pressure and helps maintain consistent flavor as the tank empties.
2.2 Does the VOOPOO ARGUS P3 leak?
The VOOPOO ARGUS P3 uses VOOPOO’s iCOSM CODE 2.0 pod system, and it does a solid job of keeping things clean. In regular use, you don’t see juice collecting around the contacts or building up under the pod, and it doesn’t seep out after the device sits for a while. The top-fill plug stays snug, and the internal airflow path doesn’t create those low-pressure pockets that sometimes pull liquid into the wrong places.
All in all – the Argus P3 lived up to VOOPOO’s promises in this regard during our testing.
2.3 Durability
The VOOPOO Argus P3 has a solid, premium feel the moment you pick it up. The metal frame doesn’t flex at all and the overall build has a nice, satisfying density. Both the metal and leather versions handle everyday bumps well – the finish doesn’t scratch easily, and the corners don’t feel vulnerable.

The touchscreen sits under a plastic front panel. In drop testing, the front panel held up with no cracks, separation, or lifting at the edges. The body picked up only light marks, and nothing about the fit shifted afterward. As for the he pod connection, it stayed tight. And the top-fill cap doesn’t wear out or loosen over time.
2.4 Ergonomics
The vape is small, noticeably smaller than a deck of cards, which makes it easy to slip into a pocket or bag without thinking about it. In the hand, that size can go either way. If you prefer compact devices, the P3 feels great. If you have larger hands, it might feel a little too small or easy to lose your grip on during quick pulls.

VOOPOO adds a lanyard attachment on the corner, which actually helps more than you’d expect. It keeps the device close without needing to keep it in your hand all day, and it makes the small size less of an issue.
3. Battery and Charging
The VOOPOO ARGUS P3 runs on a 1,500 mAh internal battery, which is noticeably large for a device this small. And that extra capacity definitely pays off. Most people will get a full day of use without thinking about it, even if they sit closer to the higher end of the wattage range. If you stick to MTL or lower-power settings, it stretches well into the next day (or beyond!) before you even glance at the battery bar.
Charging is handled through the USB-C port on the bottom with 5 V/2 A input. VOOPOO rates the recharge time at around 40 minutes. That lined up with what we saw in testing. It doesn’t heat up or throttle mid-charge, and it’s the kind of device you can plug in during a short break and comfortably make it through the rest of the evening.
It also runs nine built-in safety protections in the background, covering things like overcharge, over-discharge, short-circuit, overheating, low-voltage, overcurrent, overtime puffs, reverse connection, and output monitoring. You never really notice them unless something goes wrong, but that’s the whole point.
4. Performance
The VOOPOO ARGUS P3 reacts quickly and delivers a steady pull, whether you’re using auto-draw or the button. It performs in the same range as other 30 W pod kits in the VOOPOO ecosystem, but its delivery feels smoother because of the Snap Cartridge design:

- With the 4 Ω pod, the device produces a warm, slightly dense vapor in the 20–30 W range. It leans toward a restricted lung hit, and the output is fuller than you’d expect from something this small. Clouds are respectable without being over the top, and the temperature stays in a comfortable zone even with longer draws. Tightening the airflow closes it down to a firmer MTL, though it still carries a warmer feel.
- The 7 Ω podis smoother and cooler. Around 14–20 W, it gives a lighter, cleaner draw that works well for everyday MTL. Wicking keeps up, so you don’t run into dry edges on back-to-back pulls. Vapor temperature also stays stable instead of creeping up the longer you vape.
Flavor holds up well on both coils. It’s clear and consistent, and the GENE AI 2.0 chipset keeps the power level steady as the battery drops, so the taste doesn’t thin out near the end of the charge. You get the same performance until the battery is almost empty.
The airflow dial offers enough range to move between a tight MTL and a more open RDL, though it won’t hit true cigarette tightness. It adjusts smoothly, and once you set it, it stays put.
5. Ease of Use
The P3 is one of the easier touchscreen pod devices to get used to, mostly because the interface is simple. Most of the navigation happens through swipes rather than menus buried inside menus, so after a day or two it becomes second nature:
- Swipe Up – Main Menu: Swiping up from the home screen opens the main settings panel. This is where you can access options like Animation, Display, Time, Language, and Clear Records.
- Swipe Down – Quick Settings: A swipe down brings up a small shortcut tray with the basic toggles you’ll use most often. It’s the fastest way to reach things like the brightness slider and ECO mode toggle.
- Swipe Right – Puff Records / Back Navigation: Swiping right is a dual-purpose gesture. From the home screen, it takes you to your puff history, showing total counts and usage over time (7-day and 6-month graphs). Inside menus, swiping right works as your “back” button, jumping you up one level without needing to tap anything.
- Press + Hold – Change the Watch Face: Long-press on the main screen to enter the watch face selector. Then swipe through the options and pick one.
- Locking and Unlocking: If you leave the device alone, the screen locks itself and shuts off. Tap the physical button to wake it, then swipe up to unlock. This prevents unwanted changes in a pocket or bag.
- Swipe Left – Wattage Adjustments: Swiping left opens the wattage and mode panel. In ECO mode the wattage is fixed, but you can use the DIY option to set how the power ramps depending on how long you inhale. In Normal mode, you can adjust wattage freely by sliding your finger up or down.
5. Price
The VOOPOO ARGUS P3 is currently in presale for $38.99 on VOOPOO’s website, which is surprisingly reasonable given what you get. The touchscreen alone sets this device apart. It’s a full TFT display with smooth gestures, clear graphics, and actual watch functionality, not just a decorative clock face.

When you add the 1,500 mAh battery, fast 2 A USB-C charging, and the new Snap Cartridge system, the price lands in a comfortable spot just above basic pod kits but well below the level of a full mod. It’s priced for someone who wants something more polished and interactive without jumping into a large device.
6. Verdict
The VOOPOO Argus P3 is an unusual device in the best way. It’s small enough to disappear in a pocket, yet it carries features you normally only see on larger kits – like a real touchscreen, full power control, and a pod system that doesn’t leak or gurgle. The 1,500 mAh battery gives it more stamina than its size suggests, and both coils deliver consistent flavor without fading as the battery drops. The touch screen doesn’t just look good, it’s actually useful. Quick swipes to change wattage, check puffs, or switch watch faces make the device feel easy to live with, not gimmicky.

The limitations come down mostly to preference. It’s extremely compact, which may feel a little too small for some hands. And while the airflow gets reasonably tight, it still won’t match a true cigarette-style MTL
But taken as a whole, the VOOPOO ARGUS P3 is a strong daily device. It’s portable, consistent, easy to use, and packed with thoughtful features that don’t get in your way.
