VOOPOO Drag X Plus Introduction
VOOPOO is best known for the Drag family thanks to their comprehensive performances and modern design. VOOPOO is introducing a big brother to Drag X. Powered by a single 18650/21700 battery, VOOPOO DRAG X Plus can support 100W max output with the upgraded GENE FAN 2.0 Chip.
It adopts the new TPP Pod Tank with the innovative TPP atomization system to deliver tasty flavour. I have been using this device for a half month, and I’m impressed by its overall performance. Keep reading for the full run-down on the Drag X Plus!
Build Quality and Design
VOOPOO Drag X Plus comes with a quite similar look with the Drag X. This is a compact pod mod measuring just 141mm length, 35mm width and a depth of 29mm. It continues the classic design of leather and metal.
Drag X Plus features a superior zinc alloy construction and comes with a lightweight body, offering a comfortable hand feel. It also utilizes gorgeous back panels, which stick around the contour for a high-quality look. The entire construction is well built, the machining is excellent top-notch.
The panel stitched around the contour for an added look of sophistication. The fire and adjustment buttons are well-made and responsive. The 0.96 inches TFT colourful screen display is bright and clear, showing all the vaping details you will need like battery life, wattage, voltage and resistance.
Functions and Features
Equided with the newly upgraded GENE.FAN 2.0 chip, the VOOPOO Drag X Plus features various functionalities. It comes with stronger explosive power, richer intelligent functions and more stable output than the Drag X. Drag X Plus boasts a 0.001s extreme ignition.
It features the max 100w power output, providing bigger flavourful clouds. VOOPOO Drag X Plus supports RBA and SMART working modes. With the SMART mode, the Drag X Plus can intelligently identify your coils while the RBA mode allows you to break the power limit.
VOOPOO TPP Pod Tank
VOOPOO Drag X Plus comes with the powerful TPP Pod Tank, which is designed with the reference to “Aerodynamic Simulation” and a new “Two-way Convection” airway structure to maximize the overall atomization efficiency, delivering a more powerful and flavourful vaping experience.
It supports three different platforms. The TPP platform is a high-burst, professional atomizer system and compatible with all TPP coils. The PnP platform boasts low-cost and universal atomizer system, which comes with four different pods including PnP Pod (4.5ml/ 2ml), PnP MTL Pod (2ml) and PnP RTA Pod (2ml). Drag X Plus also compatible with all atomizer universal 510 interfaces, allowing you to match the device with your favourite atomizers.
The new upgraded TPP pod features a maximum juice capacity of 5.5ml. It uses a convenient bottom vape juice refill design and dual airflow adjustable slots on the base, allowing users to find the most comfortable vaping experience. It features a magnetic suction pod design, providing a simple installation. The TPP series coils adopt a new patented technology, which increases the internal atomization area and the heating speed.
The kit comes with two coils, the TPP-DM1 0.15ohm Mesh Coil and TPP-DM2 0.2ohm Mesh Coil. What impressed me the most is the flavour. I started with the 0.15ohm coil, which is a very nice vape at 75W.
You can get a little bit warm and pleasant flavour with airflow about 1/3 closed. The flavour from 0.2ohm coil is impressive and noticeable. It is rated for 40-60W, I found that it performed best in the 45-55W range and I usually vaped it from 40-55W. All the coils boast excellent performance, offering dense cloud and intense flavour.
Battery Performance
VOOPOO Drag X Plus runs on a single 21700 or 18650 external battery (with an adapter), allowing you to enjoy every powerful day! You can charge the device via a Type-C cable, which comes with a fast-charging rate of 2A.
Verdict
VOOPOO Drag X Plus is a powerful device in every way. It comes with impressive design, well-built quality, bright colour display screen and adjustable airflow. Powered by a single 18650/ 21700 battery, you can adjust the power wattage from 5- 100w, which is more powerful than the original Drag X. I have nothing that really complains about the performance of this device.
