It’s scented with relaxing sour-and-sweet grape, with a subtle undernote of fresh aloe. Vaping on this sort relates me to the sensation experienced when sipping a cup of fruit tea.
Cream Strawberry
The strawberry taste is fresh and succulent. What takes the flavor to the next level is the addition of vanilla-infused cream.
Lush Ice
It doesn’t taste like 100% realistic watermelon, but the delicate mix of sweetness and tartness hits the spot.
Peach Mango
Although it’s a blend of two fruits, the sweet, succulent mango taste obviously dominates the flavor profile, with subtle peach aroma following up on each exhale. But the ratio of two flavorings has somehow struck a good balance, so the final result is better than expected.
Mixed Berries
Right as the name suggests, this is a classic option that won’t go wrong if berry is your thing. We couldn’t tell from its name alone which berries are added in, but blackberry and raspberry are definitely in there. Anyways this is a good berry recipe featuring juicy sweetness and tartness.
Gummy Bear
It’s packed with the refreshing sweet taste of pineapple and orange, I guess. But somehow longer we vape it, soapier it tastes like.
Crispy Apple
Tastes more like sour green apple but the synthetic flavor comes a little pungent. Can’t vape this one for long.
Design & Quality
Although MOTI position the MOTI ONE 4000 as a disposable, only the pods are single-use items, whereas the power-supplying device is reusable. So theoretically, maybe we can also view this latest launch as a closed-system pod vape, like its predecessor MOTI K Pro. But to our knowledge, none of closed-system pod vapes can hold up to 10ml juice and give 4000 puffs. So that’s the magic.
When it comes to features like sustainability and cost saving, MOTI ONE 4000 of course compares favorably with typical disposables. Better still, it doesn’t compromise on the ease of use as it also spares hassles like refills and coil maintenance.
MOTI ONE 4000’s pod and device connect through a convenient press fit. You press the device down and the vape starts working right away. But we noticed a chink, not pronounced but you’ll definitely see it when taking a closer look, around their joint. This flaw left us sort of suspicious of MOTI ONE’s build quality at the very beginning. While it turned out we cannot fault this MOTI vape on the sealing, as its parts stuck together firmly even though we dropped it on the floor from 1m high.
MOTI ONE 4000 is a tube-like vape coming with rounded-off edges and faces. It feels really nice in hands, meanwhile has a big flat base to allow it to stand up straight aside. Equally ergonomic is the oval rubber mouthpiece. It seems more comfortable than common PCTG ones we used before.
Airflow Control
This latest MOTI vape has an airflow control ring. On the whole, by providing fully-adjustable airflow, it has done more than average disposable vapes. But we prefer to call it a miniature-version AFC system, since its stainless steel ring is too narrow, and as a result is quite hard to rotate. Plus, the air hole is also tiny. Every time we want to fine-tune the air amount, it’s a real pain in the backside.
Battery & Charging
MOTI ONE 4000 is powered by a 600mAh battery, paired with Type-C charging. MOTI finds a perfect hiding spot to place the charging port—it rests on the overhang of the device, which is completely hidden out when the replaceable pod gets attached. That indeed makes the overall appearance look more neat and clean, but here’s the catch: once you need to charge the disposable, you’ve got to take off the pod first. That doesn’t take many efforts, but is more or less a fiddle.
MOTI ONE 4000 holds up 4-5 hours on a single recharge. As there’s no battery level indicator in it, we have no way to figure out how long it specifically needs to be fully charged. We usually charge it for 50 minutes or so, proper charging time for devices of this type.
Performance
MOTI ONE 4000 is outfitted with a mesh coil designed for even heating and faster ramp-up. The vapor produced is as satisfying as what we inhale from its predecessors like MOTI MBOX, even better actually. It’s especially a good performer in delivering flavors of those sweeter and minty e-juices. The aftertaste stays long in the mouth. We’re also impressed by this MOTI vape’s warm vapor and fluffy cloud.
We love to open the air inlet only halfway to get slightly more restricted draws. The vapor amount at this time is decent, and flavor is more vibrant. Its vapor is indeed a ten out of ten.
How to Use the MOTI ONE 4000?
- Remove the rubber stoppers on the pre-filled replaceable pods;
- Connect them to the device;
- Fully open the airflow inlet if you like bigger airy clouds; or turn it to half open if you like more restricted draws;
- Take relaxing drags;
- Toss the replaceable pod out when you vape the e-juice off, while keep the device;
- Attach a new pod to the device to restart the flavor-chasing journey.
Verdict
In a nutshell, MOTI ONE 4000 disposable vape does a good job in both convenience and offering more sophisticated features. Reusable device is a brilliant idea. Fully adjustable airflow also makes the product stay ahead of others, although still needs polishing. Its flavor delivery and vapor are both above average, or rather top-class.
