Introduction

Geekvape Aegis Nano kit is a portable pod system recently released. The design continues with the classic design of Aegis series. Aegis Nano is also tri-proof and it is stated as very ease of use as it can auto-adjust the output for better performance. The battery capacity is 800mAh. Aegis Nano also comes with a lanyard hole, which shows it’s a very light and portable-ease device for daily use and on the go. Is it worth the try?How does the Nano perform? Let’s see together now!

Design and Quality

  • Rubber grip around the screen, leather feel camo pattern, and glossy finger print collector (mirror finish)

Pod and Drip Tip

The Geekvape Aegis Nano drip tip is flat with an arrow sign on top of the leather camo pattern and the airflow inlet.

To remove the pod, press the arrow sign with your thumb and push the pod up. It takes a bit effort to remove it as the pod and device are connected by strong magnet (to me).

To remove the drip tip, find the line-shaped embossment on each side of the drip tip, then push it with your thumb toward the opposite direction of you. It’s difficult for me to remove the drip tip but it’s firm as such for secure reason, I think. Moreover, please do lock the device or put the fire button in face of you when removing the drip tip. Otherwise, you don’t want to burn your coil while accidentally firing

Filling the E-Liquid

Remove the silicon cap on the transparent pod to fill (you can see the e-liquid level easily when filling your liquid, but after putting back the black drip tip, the pod is covered by it and you can’t see the remaining e-liquid when vaping). The filling port is large enough for me. You will also see the mesh coil inside of the pod.

On the bottom of the Geekvape Aegis Nano pod, you’ll also see the preinstalled coil is 0.5Ω and 20-25W. The other one comes in the kit is 1.2Ω and 11-14W.

Function

The stated power range of Geekvape Aegis Nano Kit is 5-30W. However, it can be adjusted from 5W – 30W. From 10W-30W, it increases in increment of 1W. After 30W, it goes back to 5W to 10W. There is also one button of the device. Press 3 times to adjust the wattage. However, to exit the setting whether the wattage or puff clear, you need to wait for about 3 seconds as there is only one button.

Battery and charging

The battery capacity is 800mAh. Charging port is on the bottom of the device and is covered by rubber pad. I like this design because it prevents dust from entering the port. The type-C charger is also a pro for me.

Performance

For the 0.6Ω mesh coil, first I tried the default setting of 20W with airflow fully opened, it was way too strong for me. Though it might suitable for people who like really hot/warm and strong taste. Then I turned the wattage down to 10W, it’s the right number for me. The flavor is fairly good in 10W, but the vapor is a bit cool. I also tried 15W with the Geekvape Aegis Nano, the flavor is also nice, strong and tasty. The MTL and DTL are also taste fine.

Verdict

Overall, Geekvape Aegis Nano is a well-built pod kit. It is a simple and lite version of Aegis Boost. At first glance, the design of aegis nano and aegis boost pod mod looked no difference, except one is smaller with only one button and the latter is bigger with more buttons and functions.

The flavors of both vapes are pretty good and they have showed Geek Vape’s sincerity of developing vapes. Aegis Nano is obviously great for people who want less effort of using a vape and who don’t want hassle of exchanging the coil or even learning relatively complicated functions.
