Introduction
Weeks ago, Uwell released a new generation of its Aeglos series, the Aeglos H2 pod mod. According to Uwell, the device’s wattage output ranges from 10W to 60W. It has an internal 1500mAh battery, complete with a Type-C port for fast charging. Moreover, Uwell has integrated some thoughtful design into this Aeglos H2. For example, the pod mod introduces the self-cleaning tech, to collect condensation and thus prevent it from building up in atomizers. It also takes pride in its easy-to-operate airflow control and compatibility with various Aeglos coils, both of which can deliver users a wide range of satisfaction. “All these sound like great appeal, but how does it work actually?”you might be wondering. No worries! We’ve done weeks of tests on the product, and summarized its pros and cons for you in this review. Let’s see if there are things that hit you!
In this review, we highlight aspects we like in green, and those we don’t in red.

Test on Power, Battery, and Voltage
In this part, we tested on several parameters of Uwell Aeglos H2 that most of you would care about. For example, is Aeglos H2’s actual wattage output equal to what Uwell promotes? If there’s a difference, what’re their specific values respectively? And what about the voltage and amp? Is the charging rate high enough to get the battery fully charged within a short period? For the answers, you can check the chart below and find our test results!
From the test results, we can know that Uwell Aeglos H2 is not a fast charging device with only 1.1A charging rate, though it promotes in the manual saying that it has “quick charging”. For the other factors, such as voltage and output wattage, the difference with the set wattage is not big and we can say it is very correct. Compared to other Uwell product we’ve tested, Aeglos H2 is the most accurate one so far.
Performance – 8
We used 3mg freebase nicotine juice in green fizz flavor. Aeglos H2 works really fine in terms of the flavor. After 3rd refills, it still tastes as brilliant as how it was at the very beginning without any flavor loss. It also excels at delivering the authentic sweet flavors of the e-liquids. In our tests, we found no liquid leakage after the device was left unused for three days.
As Aeglos H2 boasts its diversifying vaping experience, we did a thorough test on this feature. Let’s see how it works! First we used the pre-installed 0.18ohm coil to take on DTL vaping. We really enjoyed it when the airflow inlet was open. But when we set the output wattage at over 55W, the mouthpiece became very hot after we took only three consecutive puffs. That’s a big drawback. Next we installed the 1.2ohm coil. We found when the airflow inlet was fully closed, the MTL vaping would be a little loose without much vapor produced. But somehow it’s suitable for RDL. At last, Aeglos H2 comes with spit back after it was unused overnight, but it’s not serious.
Function – 8
Aeglos H2 is equipped with a 0.96-inch screen that shows all the basic vaping information, including the wattage, voltage, coil resistance, time of your pressing the fire button and puff counter. At the upper left corner of the screen menu lies a battery indicator. In general, the screen does a good job. We are impressed by its high brightness and refresh rate—it gives fairly quick response to our quick consecutive pressings. If we must be particular about something, then it’s the screen color. Aeglos H2’s screen is not colorful, but in black and white. Personally, I don’t hate it, but it seems to some others not vibrant enough.
What’s more, Aeglos H2 only has a POW mode, with no regular temperature control or memory mode. Aeglos H2 doesn’t have much to offer in terms of mode choices.
Overall Quality and Design – 8
Body
Aeglos H2’s body feels perfectly nice in hand. Its surface is mainly made of aluminum alloy, which gives off gorgeous lights. And it’s for the same reason that Aeglos H2 is so light and thus portable. Moreover, one of its sides is largely covered by anti-skid resin materials, bringing us even more comfortable grips. Generally, the design of Aeglos H2 is simple and elegant. It offers five colors for us to choose from: dusky silver, emerald green, dove blue, classic black and ruby red.
Airflow
Aeglos H2’s airflow can be easily adjusted by rotating the pod cartridge, which is a big convenience for us. We took a close look at the design of its airflow control system: there are three airflow inlets respectively on two opposite sides of the cartridge, that is six in total. When we rotate the cartridge, two semi-transparent overhanging parts at the bottom would block the inlets to a different extent, and in turn adjust the airflow. We love this smart design. However, as the two overhanging parts are semi-transparent, it’s not easy for us to see them clearly from outside and tell whether the inlets are fully open or closed.
Pod
Aeglos H2’s pod is connected to its body with magnets. This design makes things easier when we have to load or unload the pod, compared with time-consuming screwing for conventional vape devices with 510 connections. Besides, the pod is visible, so we can see the liquid left inside easily.
Battery
Aeglos H2 has a built-in 1500mah battery plus a Type-C fast charging port. Out tests found the battery capacity is sufficient for all-day vaping. With the Type-C charging, we don’t need to worry about carrying 18650 batteries along with us anymore. However, we got another worry—the kit doesn’t come with a Type-C charging cable. Prepare one if you’re buying this kit.
Ease of Use – 8
Operation and Button
The user’s manual offers clear guides to Aeglos H2’s operations, so it took us no effort to navigate the menu system. The basic operations of the pod mod are as follows:
Powering on/off: Pressing the fire button for five times
Locking/Unlocking: Pressing up/down and fire buttons together
Resetting puff counter: Holding up and down buttons together for 2 seconds
We have some complaints to make about Aeglos H2’s operation. First of all, the screen would time out if you do nothing with the device for eight seconds. It’s kind of a hassle if we hope to read parameters on the screen whenever we want. The quick time-out also causes another trouble—it sometimes misleads us into believing we have switched the device off when we actually haven’t. This quite matters for many reasons. For instance, it’s of course fine if we frequently press the fire button by accident when the device is off. But what happens when it’s on? You can imagine the potential negative impacts. Second, we give another con for the sunken part at the center of the fire button. Personally, I prefer buttons with a flat surface, as they feel better in hand. Or those overhanging buttons will also do.

Aeglos H2 Pod Mod Price:
We compared the Uwell Aeglos H2 with previous generations of Aeglos series, and concluded that Aeglos H2’s price is fair enough. To build up a clearer understanding about their prices, you can check the information below:
Aeglos pod kit (60W) is sold for $39.58
Aeglos P1 pod kit (80W) is sold for $43.89.
Aeglos H2 pod mod is obviously a big advance from the earliest Aeglos pod kit, while there’s only a slight difference in their prices.
Overall Thoughts
If you pursue various vaping experience and have already invested in Uwell products before, Uwell Aeglos H2 is a good option for you. Its compatibility with any kind of Aeglos coils enables users to switch between MTL, DTL, and RDL vaping with one single device easily. Furthermore, Aeglos H2 features smart design, no matter for its appearance or the airflow control. It’s also a light compact which is quite convenient to carry anywhere. Aeglos isn’t designed with multiple fancy functions to satisfy various needs, but it has a reasonable price at $39.99. Lastly, as you see above, it’s a breeze to use this device.
