Voopoo fans, attention here and now! Voopoo adds another new open pod system to its Drag series collection, the 20W Drag Nano 2. It’s an exquisite device constructed of neat lines. Actually, if we’re only going to introduce one thing about this pod, it should be its impressively tiny size. Drag Nano 2 might be only half as big as our palms.
The standard version of Voopoo Drag Nano 2 holds up to 5.5ml vape juice, and runs on a rechargeable 800mAh battery. Voopoo also releases a TPD version for this latest kit, which limits the reservoir capacity to only 2ml.
After days of testing on the Voopoo Drag Nano 2, we’ve sorted through all the device’s pros and cons in the paragraphs below. By the way, we highlight aspects we like in green, and those we don’t in red, to make your reading easier. Let’s kick it off!

Lab Test
VOOPOO Drag Nano 2 has 3 power modes for different vaping preference. The manual says its power range is between 8-20W, but it doesn’t state the powers for these 3 modes. Therefore, we are specially curious about it.
Our test is conducted when device is fully charged, and each test is conducted for at least 3-4 times.
We used the 1.2Ω coil during test. You can find from the table above that at the White-High power mode, the wattage is 11W – 11.5W (there might be 0.5 wattage fluatuation when testing). Green – Mid mode is around 10.7W, and Blue – Low mode is 9.7W. There aren’t too much difference, and we can’t detect obvious difference while vaping, too. In general, for the 1.2Ω coil, it’s safe to say that VOOPOO Drag Nano 2 works between 9-12W.
The charging rate is tested for only 0.6A, which is slower than the stated 1A.

Flavors under different modes
We can find two pods in the Voopoo Drag Nano 2 kit, one outfitted with a 0.8Ω coil and another with a 1.2Ω coil. No matter you love to switch between a duo of sub-ohm and MTL vaping, or you’re merely a beginner attempting to give DTL a whirl, we can’t recommend such a coil combo enough.
Voopoo Drag Nano 2 offers three output modes: low, mid and white-high. These modes in fact correspond to three different watts programmed in advance.
In our review, we made the Drag Nano 2 mainly run on mid and white-high modes, and it’s doing great. The pod kept producing a mass of flavorsome clouds. The vapor was immaculate and smooth, best proof of a well-built coil. Moreover, the pod has a good tight draw to make for both MTL and RDL vaping styles.
The liquid we used in our test is Tahiti Treat from Salteez, typical mouth-watering fruit flavor. Voopoo Drag Nano 2 reached the pinnacle of its flavor after roughly 20 puffs. We couldn’t love it more as the vapor on our inhale was in moderate sweetness and cool sensation to a tee.
Throughout our testing Voopoo Drag Nano 2, we found neither burnt taste nor obvious decrease in the flavor intensity. We came across spit-back, but for only once.
Design – 8
Appearance
It’s no surprise that Voopoo Drag Nano 2 still shares its Drag predecessors’ design philosophy—colorful leather coupled with silver gray metals. Its shape is also a highlight here. Drag Nano 2 is a cuboid vape, whose symmetrical front face comes very close to a square.
Drag Nano 2 reminds us of Uwell Caliburn KOKO series. It has the business vibe, while Caliburn KOKO has a more casual and fun attitude.
It’s unexpectedly small. We can grip the whole device with one single hand. However, the grip doesn’t really tickle our fancy, probably because the leather patch is sort of slippery. In addition, its zinc alloy chassis might end up as a trouble for some of us. It collected our fingerprint in an insatiable way, which might drive those who hate smudges crazy.
The kit includes a stainless steel lanyard enabling us to wear the device around our neck. It’s a vibe. Generally, Voopoo Drag Nano 2 looks vivid and chic as the Drag series has always been.
The Pod – compatible with VOOPOO Vinci
Voopoo Drag Nano 2 employs a top filling system. The fill port lies at the top of the vape tank. Remove the cap on the tank, uncover the rubber lid and squeeze the liquid in—filling done. The entire system is smartly-designed. Barely no liquid ran over to mess things up when we filled it in.
We examined its liquid leakage after we had filled vape juice into the tank for five days. Drag Nano 2’s leak-resistant tech is marvelous. We didn’t find any juice flowing out. The tank is made of semi-transparent material to allow us to observe the liquid level very easily.
The vape tank is also compatible with Voopoo’s first pod system product, the Vinci Pod. That’s actually a manifestation of Voopoo’s bid to build its own product ecosystem. For vapers who’ve owned a Vinci Pod, the new Drag Nano 2 absolutely has much appeal.
Airflow
Drag Nano 2 pod has adjustable airflow. We can fine-tune the air allowed in by adjusting a slider at one flank. The slider is quite tight yet smooth, but we can move it without effort.
Battery – 9.5
Voopoo Drag Nano 2’s 800mAh battery is formidable enough to last for a couple of days. Its battery level didn’t drop a bit after we used it for three consecutive days and left it idle for another two days. It has gone out of our expectations to be honest.
The pod’s battery level is indicated by three lights underneath the airflow slider. When all the three go out, it means the device is dead. But no worries, a Type-C charging port is right at the bottom.
Ease of Use – 10
The Voopoo Drag Nano 2 pod has only one button, allowing us to cycle through three power levels in sequence. We can also press it for five times to power on or off the device. They’re basically all we can do about this button.
The pod could be activated by taking a simple draw from the mouthpiece. We don’t have to keep pressing the button to get it working. In terms of a pod system, drag activation should be a pro through and through.
Besides, Drag Nano 2’s coils are both welded onto the vape tanks. When there’s any signals warning us the coil has worn out, such as bad tastes, we could just discard the whole tank and install a new one. From vape beginners’ side, that’s a relief more or less. After all, they don’t need to invest energies into researching how a coil works anymore.
Price – 9
Voopoo Drag Nano 2 pod is sold for $20 or so on most vape e-commerce platforms, although its original price is over $30. That’s very much close to the price of Voopoo’s first pod system Vinci Pod. As a new pod system allowing for RDL vaping and empowered by highly-advanced chipset, Drag Nano 2 is an economical product worth its price.
Overall Thoughts
Vaping on the Voopoo Drag Nano 2 pod is a doddle. The pod system offers almost all basic functions, like adjustable airflow and variable output power (even though there’re only three options), and it’s easy to use in the meantime. It looks modish, and takes up very little room. The coil atomization is also flawless. If we must be a nitpicker, we’d say the pod’s material is under par. Drag Nano 2 doesn’t feel that nice in hand with the sharp edge and is easily smudged by fingerprints.
