Crowned as the WOTOFO’s premier device to cloud-chase with, MDura Pro Box Mod is the latest entry in the MDura line. It, for one thing, follows the footstep of the 1st MDura to impress us with second-to-none manufacturing. WOTOFO MDura Pro is also furthered the chip tech of earlier iterations to make for safer high-watt vaping and more extensive explosion of flavors.

Performance (Power Mode) – 8.5

The WOTOFO Profile M RTA comes with three coils in its kit ranging from 0.13ohm to 0.18ohm. The one we tested was nexMESH A1 0.13Ω—just attempting to run the device on as highest power as possible.

Vaping on the combo of WOTOFO MDura Pro mod and Profile M RTA is great right up till the end. It distributed flavors evenly, and pumped out massive clouds of scented vapor. When we fully opened the air inlets, the clouds were humongous. Besides, the coil is perfectly crafted to smooth out every puff we took. It didn’t present any problems like burnt tastes or bad aftertaste even on about 7th pod of juice.

Once again we’d like to say the combination is more harmonious than we expected. It does everything and does it right. However, that’s grounded on a premise that we don’t necessarily have to vape on a power higher than 70W, despite the mod could fire up to 230W. We tried every coil in the Profile M RTA kit and disappointedly found the highest watt it’s able to put out was only 70. We’ve got to grab other RTAs to pursue more immersive sub-ohm vaping.

Design – 9

RTA

The fill port design of WOTOFO Profile M is quite rare among today’s atomizers. It first eliminates the commonly-seen lid that users have to open and put back in place when topping up a tank. We could directly force the bottle tip in, since WOTOFO has just cut the port cover open. Rather surprisingly, the design did save us from those now-and-then hassles of messy refills.

Moreover, WOTOFO adds a sliding mechanism covering the port to ensure the juice is safely sealed in. To expose the fill port, we have to push the round cover away at first. While we found leakage seemed inevitable as long as we placed the atomizer on a tilt. Keeping vape juice stay inside is a never-ending quest for manufacturers.

An O-ring airflow system sits at the upper part of the atomizer, allowing for full adjustability. It took no efforts to move the ring. There’re also honeycomb air inlets dotted all over the RTA interior to satisfy our desire for huge vapors.

Mod

WOTOFO MDura Pro mod looks elegant. It utilizes various patterned materials to adorn the cuboid body, while keeping the overall color in a clean-cut style. The large area of black rubber coating blends quite well with the matte leather patch on the rear edge, as well as the well-constructed zinc alloy chassis.

The LED screen takes up the bulk of the front face, and accommodates fairly comprehensive vaping info. Its brightness hits the spot as well. Even if in direct sunlight we could read the screen without difficulty. Beneath the screen lies a Type-C port covered by a rubber cap, good for dust resistance.

Function – 8

WOTOFO MDura Pro mod has the regular VW (variable wattage) mode and temperature control protection for nickel, titanium and stain coils. It even further grades its VW mode to three levels, standard, power and power+. We heard the last two are geared towards harder hits, but it seemed to us like a fifth wheel as we could get exactly same results by turning watt up under the standard mode.

Of course, the highest watt we could fire to has something to do with the coil resistance. At least when installed with coils in the WOTOFO Profile M RTA kit, the mod could only run on a maximum of 70W.

Key lock function is available in the MDura Pro to prevent accidental ignition. What’s more, the mod exclusively designates a button for screen timeout, which could save lots of power if we’re to leave the device idle for a while. The setup is especially helpful when we’re out for a long trip.

Ease of Use – 8

The navigation menu of WOTOFO MDura Pro is easy to work with, and encompasses all important data we care about, including watt, resistance, puff duration and battery level. Other basic operations involved are also easy-breezy. All in all, WOTOFO MDura Pro is a no-nonsense device that everyone could quickly get the knack of.

However, we came across a few problems when testing the Profile M RTA. Although it’s admirably novel to place a round sliding cover on the fill port, we couldn’t slide the cover open unless pushing its one end in a particular direction. Here comes the issue: the gadget doesn’t give any signal about which the exact direction is. We spent quite a while to figure out the right steps: fully opening the airflow, facing the etched brand name on the airflow ring and then pushing the cap forwards.

Another issue is concerned with the cotton strips in the RTA kit. RTAs couldn’t be a simple stuff to handle from any aspects. They require good coil building skills to make sure flavor and vapor both reach the pinnacle. But fortunately we don’t need to wrap the coils in Profile M RTA kit, which indeed eased off our DIY work. While the cottons are a tad big, and we personally prefer smaller ones in case of wasting.

If you haven’t had much experience in RTAs, you can’t be careful enough with the cottons. Remember to tear off the surplus so that the vape liquid would spread evenly. But if the cottons are insufficient we could possibly inhale liquid into our mouths.

Compared with buying WOTOFO’s existing MDura Pro mod kit, which comes with an ordinary tank, investing in this RTA combo would cost about twenty dollars more. The spread, undoubtedly, comes down to the Profile M RTA. Among all WOTOFO RTAs on offer, it stands at the top rungs of pricing for the most advanced atomizing tech it’s adopted. In addition, the Profile M RTA kit includes three different types of coils in, providing much more versatile options than other kits with two same coils. If you’re savvy about RTA vaping, this combo is a good deal to look to.

Overall Thoughts

In terms of the flavorful big vapors we get, WOTOFO MDura Pro mod pairs really well with Profile M RTA. It’s true that RTA vaping always involves complex building work, but Profile M is definitely a simple gadget for skilled vapers. However, a paradox just follows. Most skilled vapers would hope to run on a watt higher than 70W, especially when the mod could go up to 230W. However, if a 70W RTA vaping could satisfy you, we couldn’t recommend this combo enough.
