‘Worst night of my life: Aussie’s Bali vape warning

Bali vape warning

As controversy continues to rock the vaping industry, An Australian woman has come out to narrate a vaping experience that turned out to be the “worst night of her life.” She thought she “might die” from the pain at some point. It may becomes Bali vape warning.

Annabelle Knight, a 25-year-old content creator, took to TikTok to share her unfortunate experience that led to “the worst night of her life.” Knight was on a two-week holiday with her friend, and it was then that they decided to enjoy the sunny Finns Club beaches in Seminyak, Bali.

When sunbaking, she and her friend were approached by a dodgy guy selling vapes. Her friend bought some. At first, she was reluctant to purchase, but she gave in to the temptation after spending some time with her vaping friends. “I saw her vaping and I was like I want one of them,” she said recalling waving over the seller and bartering to buy the vape for $17AUD.

Apparently, the dodgy guy had bright red eyes and looked super “stoned.” With the temptation to puff her first ever puff, Knight had become so naïve and assumed all the red flags. “He (the man) looks so stoned, his eyes are bright red,” she said. “I don’t know why sirens didn’t go off in my head like maybe don’t get a vape from this guy.”

After buying the vape, the guy still hung around until she pulled off the packaging and after which he requested to keep the packaging boxes. That was quite unusual, but it never seemed so at the time. “Don’t know why I didn’t think red flag, why the f*** was he wanting the rubbish so badly,” she said in the video. Ms. Knight did around 20 puffs before dinner, where the hell broke loose.

Worst Night of My Life

While enjoying dinner, her chest began aching, and she could not breathe properly. “It hurts, my lungs hurt,” she said. So, she decided to return to her house, hoping some sleep would get her feeling better; little did she know the situation would only worsen. “We go home and I’m lying in bed on my back … it felt like there were knives in my lungs, it was so painful.”

With the pain and paranoia creeping in, Knight took to the internet to find some relief, and she could not find anything helpful for her situation. “I was Googling 911 in Bali, dodgy vape Bali, I couldn’t find anything … then I Googled lung disease … and then all this bad stuff started coming up saying take yourself to hospital, go to hospital right now, this is not normal.”

The pain was so intense that she could not sleep. She was stressed and scared and could not fall asleep as she thought she would die. It was the worst night of her life, a nightmare she would like to forget.

In her TikTok video, she said the symptoms eased overnight, and when she woke up the following day, she felt sore but much better than the previous night. She swore never to vape again, “I’m never vaping again, mark my words, never doing it again,” she said to conclude the video.

After posting the video, TikTok users commented that they had encountered the dodgy man at the Bali beach and had similar experiences after using his vapes. “This happened to me and my friend bought Bali vapes and they made us so sick, horrible they were so bad,” one follower said.

Other users said the symptoms are common with first-time smokers, while others sympathize with Ms. Knight for she had paid a lot of money for an experience that made her night miserable.

Ms. Knight’s story is a cautionary tale for anyone thinking about trying vaping, especially in Bali. While the experience may not be bad for everyone, it is certainly not worth the risk given the potential consequences. Ms. Knight was lucky that her symptoms eased overnight and that she did not have to go to the hospital. Always be cautious when trying new things, especially when it comes to vaping.
