The real question, which this review will look to answer, is how much those settings translate to noticeable changes in the way the Playoffs vapes.
2. Flavors
The RODMAN Playoffs 50K has a much larger flavor selection than the MVP, with 31 options. There are a few less typical options mixed in with the fruit and candy flavors, including Hokkaido Custard, Matcha Ice, Root Beer, and P.O.G. That gives the lineup a lot of range.

For this review, the flavors tested were Mango Lychee Ice, Rocket Pop, and Honeydew Strawberry:
- Mango Lychee Ice has a ripe mango flavor up front, with the lychee adding a lighter floral note underneath. The ice gives it a cool finish and keeps the mango from becoming too heavy or syrupy. 4/5

- Design and Quality
The RODMAN Playoffs 50K has the familiar rounded, deck-of-cards shape used by a lot of box-style disposables, but the body is a little taller and larger overall. The exterior uses a soft matte plastic with gradient coloring, which gives it a smoother, less glossy look than the MVP 65K.
The screen takes up roughly half of the front, with the Playoffs branding filling the remaining space. More RODMAN branding is stamped across the back. The display itself is straightforward, with large readouts for the ICE setting and NIC setting alongside the remaining e-liquid and battery levels. Everything is easy to read.
Two buttons sit along the side of the device. The upper button cycles through the four ICE levels, while the lower button changes the NIC setting. Each press moves to the next level, and the current setting appears immediately on the front screen.
The offset mouthpiece sits on top, while the airflow slider is built into the bottom next to the USB-C port. The slider has three fixed positions: fully closed, three airflow holes open, or all five holes open. That keeps airflow separate from the ICE and NIC controls, so each part of the draw can be adjusted on its own.
3.1 Does the RODMAN Playoffs 50K Leak?
No. None of the three devices showed any leaking or spitback during testing. The mouthpiece stayed dry, with no e-liquid collecting around the top, and the body feels tightly sealed around the screen, buttons, and base.
3.2 Durability
The matte plastic body has very little flex, and the side buttons are shallow enough that they are unlikely to catch on something or get sheared off during normal use. The screen itself is protected behind the front display panel, which adds a buffer against direct impact if the device is dropped or knocked against a hard surface.
The Playoffs is noticeably heavier than the MVP 65K, but the extra weight gives it a sturdy feel. The matte finish also hides fingerprints and light scuffs well. A 50,000-puff disposable has to hold up through a lot of regular use, and the Playoffs certainly feels up to it.
3.3 Ergonomics
The Playoffs has a familiar box-style shape, but the taller body and extra weight make it feel a little more substantial in the hand than the MVP 65K. The rounded corners help, and the soft matte finish is both supple and grippy, so the device sits securely in the hand.
The offset mouthpiece feels natural during use, and the two side buttons are easy to reach. The airflow slider is less precise. It has three positions, but landing on the middle setting takes just the right amount of pressure, so it can be easy to slide past it when making an adjustment.
4. Battery and Charging
The RODMAN Playoffs 50K uses a rechargeable battery with USB-C charging, and the remaining battery percentage is shown directly on the front display. RODMAN does not list an official battery capacity for the Playoffs 50K, but several retailers consistently report a 650 mAh cell.
Despite the smaller reported capacity, battery life is still quite good. With moderate use, the Playoffs should last around three to four days between charges, and the percentage readout makes it easy to see when it is getting low.
Charging takes around 45 minutes from empty to full, which is quick enough that the smaller 650 mAh battery doesn’t feel like a limitation.
5. Performance
The RODMAN Playoffs 50K delivers deep flavor and a thick amount of vapor from its dual-mesh coils, even in the 0% nicotine version tested here. It is draw-activated, responds immediately to a pull, and the vapor stays warm without getting uncomfortably hot.
The ICE control has four settings, and the difference between them is easy to feel. Level 1 has essentially no added cooling, while level 2 introduces a noticeable icy effect. The cooling builds from there, with level 4 producing a very cold vape. Because the cooling is adjustable on the device, the amount of ice is no longer tied to the flavor you choose.
The NIC control needs a little explanation on the 0% version tested here. RODMAN also sells the Playoffs with 5% nicotine and three NIC settings, but those settings do not change the nicotine concentration of the e-liquid. Instead, higher settings increase coil output and vapor production. On the 5% version, more vapor means more nicotine is delivered with each puff, which is why RODMAN associates the higher settings with stronger nicotine delivery.
The same control is still present on the 0% version, even though there is no nicotine to adjust. Here, moving through the NIC settings feels more like changing the power level: higher settings produce warmer vapor, more output, and a stronger-feeling hit. The labeling is a little confusing, but the difference between the settings is noticeable.
The airflow slider has three positions: fully closed for off, three holes open for a tighter draw, and all five holes open for the loosest draw.
Taken together, the airflow, ICE, and NIC controls give the Playoffs a huge amount of flexibility without making it complicated. You can tighten or loosen the draw, change the cooling level, and raise or lower the output with controls that are intuitive from the first use.

The RODMAN Playoffs 50K usually lands in the $16 to $23 range online. VaporDNA currently lists it at $16.99, while RODMAN sells individual flavors for $19.95, putting most listings comfortably below the mid-$20s.
That price feels especially good once you factor in how adjustable the Playoffs is. The 50,000-puff rating and dual-mesh coils cover the basics, but the separate airflow, ICE, and NIC controls are what make the device feel unusually flexible for the money. The screen is simple, but it gives you clear readouts for every setting that needs to be tracked.
7. Verdict
The RODMAN Playoffs 50K gives you a surprising amount of control over how it vapes. The ICE adjustment has a wide range, from essentially no cooling at level 1 to an intensely cold hit at level 4. Airflow can be set for a tighter or much looser draw, while the NIC control changes the output enough to be noticeable even on the 0% version.
The NIC control changes the output of the device, with higher settings producing warmer vapor and a stronger hit. On the 5% version, that also means more nicotine is delivered with each puff, while the 0% version keeps the same output adjustment without the nicotine.
Battery life does not suffer much from all that adjustability. With moderate use, the Playoffs should last around three to four days between charges, and a full recharge takes about 45 minutes.
Flavor is deep, vapor production is generous, and none of the three samples leaked or produced spitback. The body also feels sturdy enough for the long life expected from a 50,000-puff disposable. It is heavier than the MVP 65K, and the airflow slider can be finicky when trying to land on the middle position, but neither issue got in the way much during use.
