Today, we are going to review Aspire’s first pod kit – Aspire Flexus Q. We were all excited about this product when we heard from Aspire. We’ve reviewed Aspire Nautilus Prime X 60W pod kit long ago, it was truly a mind-blowing device that gave us a lot of surprises.
Flexus Q pod kit is Aspire’s first pod system. It features with 10 minutes fully charged 700mAh built-in battery. Flexus Q pod can hold 2mL e-liquid. The kit comes with one 0.6Ω mesh coil and one 1.0Ω mesh coil for different needs.
Are you a fan of Aspire? If not, you will be after reading our reviews!
We have highlighted aspects we like in green, and those we don’t in red, to make your reading easier. Let’s kick it off!

Performance
We used 50/50 nicotine salt vape juice in grape flavor. We had a nice and loose MTL, or we can say RDL using the 0.6Ω mesh coil with the airflow fully opened. For the 1.0Ωmesh coil, we got a nice tight MTL. At low mode and low airflow, the throat hit was strong, yet the flavor strength was very weak. We hardly had any flavor out from it. At medium to high mode with airflow fully opened, we could get more balanced flavor and throat hit. The grape flavor and its sweetness were delivered very well at these two modes.
Design & Build Quality – 9
At the moment we got Flexus Q out of the box, the quality and hand feel impressed us immediately. The one we got was black. There are 7 colors in total. Flexus Q weights 57.6g (include the device and pod). It’s super lightweight. The size and weight fit my palm very well. The whole design of this device is low-profile without losing the sense of technology. The wave pattern on the back of the device adds some grips.
Coil and Pod
Aspire Flexus Q pod uses verticle mesh coil. It’s replaceable. The mouthpiece uses PCTG and it’s the most used material for pod system mouthpiece. It fits in lips comfortably.
Function and Ease of Use – 9
Airflow
Flexus Q can be fired by draw and button. It’s also airflow adjustable. The airflow control is on the side of the device. The sliding button and where it’s at enabled us to adjust our preferred airflow precisely and operate with one hand easily. The sliding button design is convenient for us to use. One thing we concern about is that if there is leakage from the pod, the vape juice or condensate might as well leak from the button.
With the button on the front side, we can switch to three different power modes at our preference. Aspire has also made it’s easy for us in terms of reading battery. The light informs you the battery level.
Here are the three indicators on power level:
- Low battery: Easy mode, red light
- Mid battery: Medium mode, blue light
- High battery: Hard mode, green light
Other than that, Aspire has set a protection mechanism for us. If we vape over 7 seconds, the device will automatically lock itself. We need to take out the pod and put it in to re-activate the device. We think this feature does protect the coil from being burned out. But we believe there are very few people would vape over 7 seconds in one puff.
For the battery, it has a 700mAh built-in battery. The 10-min fast charging allows us to use it without interruption.
Fill the E-Liquid
It’s quite easy to fill and refill the Flexus Q pod. Different from the most seen “top-filling” system, Flexus Q gives us two options of filling. We can either use “bottom filling” or “side-filling”. There is a silicone stopper on the side of the pod for you to side filling if your vape juice bottle has a shorter drip tip, or you can use the bottom hole to refill in the case that your e-juice bottle has longer drip tip. This design has won our hearts. We have encountered the problem in other vapes, that we found it’s hard to fill with a short drip tip bottle because of the drip tip or the coil.

Verdict
To sum up, we think Aspire Flexus Q vape kit is a great device that is suitable for e-liquids on the refreshing and light notes, such as citrus and grape. It had excellent performance in terms of ease of use, flavors, and function. Two coils that come with the kit didn’t disappoint us. We also loved how it’s 0.6Ω and 1.0Ω options for us, which gave us both good DL and ML vaping experiences. We didn’t experience any leaking issues during our test. We especially love how the airflow control is a sliding button, which enables us to adjust it at very small difference. This also provides relatively higher customization to flavors compared to other pod systems which adopts switching button.
We highly recommend Flexus Q to those who want small vape kit for daily use as well as some customizations on the airflow and power. Whether you are a beginner or advanced vaper who needs an everyday toy, it’s a good choice.
