Introduction
Freemax has risen through the ranks of prominent vape manufacturers thanks to their successful releases of the Fireluke Mesh sub-ohm tank. Next came more popular vape-related add-ons, such as the Mesh Pro coil. They have also rolled out a bevy of excellent pod devices. Now let’s move on to the Freemax Maxpod Circle pod kit.
Powered by a 550mAh battery, the Freemax Maxpod Circle boasts a constant voltage output of 3.7V. Equipped with a 2mL refillable pod, it is compatible with a 1.5ohm integrated coil to deliver pleasant flavour. Alright, time to find out how does it perform. What follows are all my own thoughts based on my own experiences.
Build Quality and Design
The design of the Freemax Maxpod Circle is different from the pod vapes that we commonly see. It comes with a round shape and a neck chain that can be conveniently worn for on the go vaping. The Maxpod Circle comes with a pretty small size of 62.2mm diameter and 12.1mm thick. It features a durable steel and zinc alloy chassis, which feel reasonably heavy with 75g.
I chose Carbon black for review. On either side of the device, it boasts a delicately finished carbon panel, providing a stunning appearance. The Freemax Maxpod Circle is available in four different design finishes. You can choose from Carbon Red, Carbon Black, Resin Yellow and Resin Black.
The branding “Freemax” is printed on one side of the alloy casing. It has an LED status indicator that is on the other side of the device. When the pod is inserted into the pod, the LED light will light up to indicate the pod is attached and ready.
The Freemax Maxpod Circle is fired via a small flush mounted push button. You can turn the device on or off by pressing the fire button 5 times within 2 seconds. On the bottom edge of the Maxpod Circle, there is a micro USB charging port. The LED will flash to indicate it’s being charged when connected to power. During the charging, the LED also shows colours from green, blue or red to represent battery levels.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the build quality and design of this tiny kit.
Pod
The Freemax Maxpod Circle pod is made of PCTG and comes with a 2ml vape juice capacity. The pod features a semi-opaque design so that you can check the e-liquid level. It boasts a side filling port, which placed behind a black silicon rubber flap. I have been using it for two weeks and refilling with eight times until the pod is needed to replace it. There was no leaking from the pod at all. The pod is held firmly via two strong magnets. The LED will light up when the pod is fitted and ready.
Performance
The Freemax Maxpod coils are meshed,1.5ohm and made of 33.34% organic cotton and 66.66% tea fibre cotton. I tested this coil with my favourite 6mg freebase vape juice. Although the maximum output of the Freemax Maxpod Circle is only 10 watts, the flavour from the coil is surprisingly impressive. Cloud production is also satisfying from such a tiny and low power device. The MTL draw and throat hit was better than my expectation. The flavour and throat hit was better than many pods when using the 20mg Nic Salts.
Battery and Charging
Powered by a 550mAh battery, the Freemax Maxpod Circle has a maximum output of 10w. It can last about 8 hours with average use. I’m a little bit disappointed about the charging as there it is not USB-C. It takes about 70 minutes to charge from dead to full. The LED also indicate battery conditions with different colours.
- Green: 65% – 100%
- Blue: 30% – 65%
- Red: less than 30%
Verdict
Overall, the Freemax Maxpod Circle is a sleek, compact and portable device. It is compatible with all types of e-liquids. If you are looking for a well-built and easy to use pod system with fantastic coils and an enjoyable vaping experience, the Maxpod Circle is worth buying.
