2.2 Pod Design

The LUXE X PRO is compatible with LUXE X SERIES PODs. These pods use a GTX mesh coil for superior heating. As listed in the section above, the kit comes with two sub-ohm disposable pods to start – one with a 0.4-ohm coil and one with a 0.6-ohm coil. The pods have a plentify 5mL capacity, so you won’t have to refill as often.

The pods have a fairly typical construction, made from tinted plastic and with a wide tapered mouthpiece. The refill port can be found on the underside of the pod and is sealed with a silicone cover that is super easy to open for mess-free refilling. The pod is held into place by not two – but four strong magnets!

Does the Vaporesso LUXE X PRO leak?

The LUXE X PRO is advertised as having an anti-leak and anti-mess design. I did notice a few small droplets of e-juice collect between the magnets of the pod and body, but this was minimal. This had no impact on the refilling experience, and the port seal stayed dry. 

Ergonomics

This vape does have a good amount of heft to it, thanks to the huge battery, but with a smaller body, the LUXE X PRO fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, and the weight is distributed nicely. The activation button and airflow slider are optimally placed so that only your thumb has to move to make adjustments or push the button. The taper on the mouthpiece is deep, so if you prefer a deeper lip seal – the option exists. 

4. Battery and Charging

The selection of a 1500 mAh battery was a great choice from VAPORESSO. The battery easily lasts for 10 to 12 hours of consistent use, depending on where you set the wattage. That kind of battery life makes the LUXE X PRO a worthwhile pick-up if you are always on the go or away from home for long periods. 

You can easily monitor the battery life in real time using the percentage indicator on the OLED screen. When it is time to recharge, plug in a USB Type C cable. Charging the LUXE X PRO from 0% to 100% takes about 60 minutes. This may not be the fastest recharging time on the market, but it’s pretty par for the course for a 1500 mAh battery. 

5. Performance

The LUXE X PRO packs a punch, even at lower wattages. Like most pod mods, the draw falls between a Restricted Direct Lung (RDL) and Direct-to-Lung (DTL) experience, depending on where you set the airflow slider. The vapor production on this device is great – even short puffs produce a high volume of vapor.

The flavor delivery is consistent, and the temperature is perfect below 30 watts. I found that between 30-40 watts, the vapor was definitely warmer, but that’s part of using a wattage outside of the recommended range.
