VOOPOO VMATE PRO 2

1. Introduction

The new VOOPOO VMATE PRO 2  is VOOPOO’s take on a pod vape that doesn’t feel stripped down. It packs a 1,500 mAh battery, variable wattage up to 30 W, and a full OLED screen. The outer shell is made from zinc alloy with a matte finish and some subtle etching for texture. It isn’t trying to compete with full-size mods, but it does give you more control than a basic puff-and-go device. You get power settings, a real screen, adjustable airflow, and replaceable pods.

VOOPOO VMATE PRO 22. Design and Quality

The VOOPOO VMATE PRO 2 feels like it was built with care. VOOPOO upgraded the visual and tactile sensibilities of the VMATE PRO 2 with CNC-polished zinc‑alloy construction and 3D-laser engraved textures. The zinc alloy body has a smooth matte finish that’s easy to grip, and the etched detailing gives it a bit of character that’s not too over the top.

The device measures approximately 103 × 28.5 × 15.5 mm and weighs around 50 g, much of that coming from its robust chassis and large battery. It’s available in several color options, all subtle and clean.

There’s a single button above the OLED screen that handles all the menu controls. The screen itself is small but sharp, showing your wattage, puff count, coil resistance, and battery level at a glance. Just below that, there’s a simple toggle switch to flip between POWER and ECO modes without diving into settings.

On the front of the device, you’ll find the airflow slider. It features two air holes for precise control over how tight or open the draw feels. There’s also an LED ring around the base that lights up while you vape.

2.1 Pod Design

The VMATE PRO 2 utilizes 3mL refillable pods that are compatible with VOOPOO’s PnP X coils. You get two coil options in the box: a 0.4 ohm mesh for a restricted direct lung hit, and a 0.7 ohm mesh that works well for a looser mouth-to-lung draw.

Inside, the pod uses what VOOPOO calls iCOSM CODE 2.0. This system is designed to help with airflow consistency and flavor, while also improving coil life. According to VOOPOO, you can get around 90 mL of use per pod, or about a month of leak-free use if left idle.

Pods snap in with a physical click, which is further secured by secondary magnets. This gives the pod a reassuringly secure fit. It won’t just pop out when dropped. The plastic housing is tinted, but you can easily see where your e-liquid level falls. Refilling is user‑friendly via a top-fill flap with a silicone plug. Once open, the fill port accommodates most bottle tips. You don’t even need to remove the pod.

2.2 Does the VOOPOO VMATE PRO 2 leak?

Leak resistance is one of the stronger points of the VMATE PRO 2. VOOPOO uses their iCOSM system here, which they claim can handle up to 90 mL of e-liquid (or sit unused for 30 days) without leaking. That’s in controlled testing, but even in regular day-to-day use, the pods hold up well. You’ll have dry pockets and no juice seeping into the contacts or battery area.

Part of what helps is the airflow design. Since air comes in from the top, it’s harder for condensation or excess liquid to pool around the coil base or leak into the device.

2.3 Durability

The VOOPOO VMATE PRO 2 can take quite a bit of abuse. The metal body is solid with enough texture to resist scratches and smudges. Even after a few weeks of pocket carry, the finish still looks great. The pod connection uses a physical snap, which is supported by magnets. It locks in firmly, with no wiggle. It doesn’t shift around in your bag or go flying when dropped. The top-fill flap is snug, and the airflow slider feels precise.

Overall, the PRO 2 holds up well to regular handling, commuting, and the occasional drop or knock.

2.4 Ergonomics

The VOOPOO VMATE PRO 2 is a bit heavier than ultra-light pod vapes, but the weight feels balanced. It’s not too top-heavy or awkward. The matte finish adds a bit of texture, so it doesn’t slip around in your hand. The rounded edges and slim profile make it easy to hold for long stretches, and it fits into most pockets or bags without any fuss.

Controls are well placed. You can use auto-draw or easily press the button to fire. The airflow slider is positioned right where your thumb naturally rests, so you can reach it without shifting your grip.

3. Battery and Charging

The 1,500 mAh battery is one of the VMATE PRO 2’s biggest strengths. It’s a clear step up from earlier VMATE models with smaller cells – this one lasts comfortably through a full day for most users, even with regular use. Unless you’re chain vaping at higher wattages, you’re unlikely to run it down before the day’s over.

VOOPOO VMATE PRO 2Charging is handled through a USB-C port at the base, with support for 2 A input. VOOPOO says it charges fully in about 40 minutes, and that lines up fairly well with our testing. The ECO mode adds another layer of battery management. Instead of a fixed output, it adjusts the power dynamically based on how you’re vaping. It can reduce the battery drain without making your puffs feel weak.

4. Performance

The VOOPOO VMATE PRO 2 gives you two ways to vape: full manual control in POWER mode, or a more hands-off experience in ECO mode. In POWER mode, you can set the wattage anywhere between 5 and 30 watts.

The included 0.4 ohm mesh coil is right at home between 20 and 28 watts, where it delivers dense vapor with solid flavor and a warm, slightly open draw. The 0.7 ohm coil is more versatile. It runs best between 12 and 18 watts and works well for either a tight lung hit or a loose mouth-to-lung draw.

Flavor is consistent across both coils, and the ramp-up time is fast. You don’t need to wait around for it to heat up. The coils also wick well, so even after back-to-back pulls or higher-VG juices, there’s no burnt taste or dry hits as long as you’re within the recommended wattage range.

ECO mode adjusts power on the fly based on how long and how hard you draw. It’s designed to save battery and make the most out of your coil without making the vape feel weak or muted. It’s especially useful if you’re trying to get through a long day and don’t have access to a charger.

5. Price

Since the VOOPOO VMATE PRO 2 is still relatively new, full pricing details from VOOPOO haven’t been released. That said, if it follows the pattern of other VMATE devices, it’ll likely land somewhere in the $15–30 range for the full kit.

That puts it in a pretty accessible spot, especially considering what you get – adjustable power, a screen, long battery life, and leak-resistant pods. That’s right in line with the cost of many high-capacity disposables, but the difference here is you’re not tossing it when it runs dry. With refillable pods and long-lasting PnP X coils (often good for up to 90 mL of e-liquid), this is built to be reused. If you vape regularly, it ends up being far more affordable over time.

6. Verdict

The VMATE PRO 2 is the kind of device that doesn’t try too hard, but quietly nails the details. The battery lasts a full day without issue. The screen gives you real control without clutter. And the pods don’t leak, even when carried around or used heavily. It’s clearly built for everyday use, not just for sitting on a desk.

It’s not built for extreme use cases. You won’t be blowing huge clouds at 60 watts, and if you want an ultra-tight, cigarette-style draw, this won’t give you that either. But for most everyday vapers, especially those who switch between MTL and RDL or want something they don’t have to babysit, it delivers consistently.

If you’re after a pod device that balances form, function, and flexibility, the VOOPOO VMATE PRO 2 is a compelling daily vape.
