1. Introduction

There are hundreds of mod pod vapes on the market, which can make it hard for vapers to differentiate between the good and bad options. We hope to alleviate some of this confusion by providing authentic reviews. Today, we are looking at Vaporesso’s Veco Go. This mod pod device offers a sleek and stylish design while keeping true to the classic functionalities of other mod pod vapes. 3. Design & Quality

Body Design

The Veco Go has a modern, sleek design, with a tubular pen-shaped body with a metallic exterior that showcases a smooth two-tone gradient coloring. The company’s white branding is stamped on one side of the device. On the opposite side, about an inch below the pod, you’ll find the airflow control slider.

This slider, which appears as a black slit in the body, doesn’t have any external button control. Instead, it’s manipulated by rotating the pod itself, allowing you to adjust the amount of airflow the Veco Go receives.

During each inhale, a LED band at the base of the vape lights up, adding to the device’s modern aesthetic. This acts as a battery level indicator. For charging, the Veco Go is equipped with a Type C USB port, conveniently located at the bottom of the device.

Pod Design

The Veco Go comes with a standard 5 mL pod that includes a 0.6-ohm mesh coil, which is fairly typical when compared to other pod designs in the market. The pod maintains the same cylindrical shape as the body of the device, tapering into an elongated duckbill mouthpiece. It’s constructed from tinted polycarbonate plastic, adding to its sleek design.

The pod is securely held to the mod by magnets located at the base, ensuring it doesn’t easily detach. The refill port is conveniently situated at the bottom of the pod and is covered by a silicone cap. This silicone cover is large enough to be easily opened and moved out of the way, allowing for quick and hassle-free refilling.

The initial pod can probably be refilled a few times before needing to be replaced. Replacement pods are available to purchase in 2 packs.

Durability

The Veco Go’s durability is reinforced by its metallic exterior and robust polycarbonate pod design. During testing, the exterior proved to be highly resilient, showing no signs of scratches or damage even after extensive use. This makes the Veco Go a reliable choice for those seeking a long-lasting vaping device.

Does the Vaporesso Veco Go leak?

One of the standout features of the Veco Go is its impressive leak-proof design. Leaking from the base of the pod is a common issue with many vape brands, often leading to messy refills and a less enjoyable vaping experience. However, the Veco Go effectively mitigates this problem. Moreover, the pods come with a pre-installed coil, reducing the likelihood of issues related to incorrect installation.

There was also no leakage of e-juice from the top of the mouthpiece, which is another plus. However, I did notice some spitback when the tank was filled to a higher level.

Ergonomics

The Veco Go’s sleek and cylindrical design ensures a comfortable grip, allowing it to fit nicely in the palm during vaping sessions. The device’s aluminum body helps maintain a cool temperature, preventing your hands from becoming clammy or warm during prolonged use. Additionally, the mouthpiece is designed to provide a comfortable mouth feel, so there’s no awkward lip positioning.

4. Battery and Charging

As mentioned previously, the LED strip along the bottom of the vape acts as a battery level indicator:

  • 70 – 100% charge – Green LED
  • 20 – 70% charge – Blue LED
  • 0 – 20% charge – Red LED

The Vaporesso Veco Go is equipped with a substantial 1500 mAh battery, providing powerful hits and impressive battery life. During our testing, we found that a single charge could last between 8 to 10 hours. This longevity makes it an ideal choice for avid vapers, as it can easily last through a long day before needing to be recharged at home.

When it’s time to recharge, you can simply plug any USB Type C cable into the port located at the bottom of the Veco Go. The device takes about 40 to 60 minutes to recharge from a low battery back to full capacity. While this isn’t the fastest charging time in the market, it’s certainly within the typical range for such devices.

5. Performance

The Veco Go is notable for its full-bodied, warm hits when vaping. Each puff generates a significant amount of vapor, resulting in large, impressive clouds. This feature is particularly appealing to cloud chasers. Despite the warmth of the hits, the mesh coil effectively regulates the vapor’s temperature, ensuring a comfortable experience.

The Veco Go’s airflow valve provides a commendable level of control for the user. When the airflow is fully open, the device delivers a mouth-to-lung (MTL) hit, which closely mimics the experience of smoking a cigarette. This can be particularly appealing to newer vapers transitioning from traditional smoking.

On the other hand, when the airflow is mostly closed, leaving just the smallest air hole open, the device provides a more restricted airflow known as restricted-direct-lung (RDL). This setting is often preferred by experienced vapers seeking a stronger hit and larger vapor clouds. This flexibility in airflow control makes the Veco Go suitable for a wide range of vaping preferences.

One performance aspect of the Veco Go to note is its inconsistency at lower battery levels. We observed that the quality of the hit can sometimes fluctuate when the device’s battery capacity falls below 70%. It’s difficult to pinpoint the exact battery level at which this issue arises, but it was noticeable when the battery level indicator LED was blue. This inconsistency can give the impression that the vape is nearly depleted, resulting in hits that feel somewhat intermittent. However, it’s important to note that this issue was only observed in one of the Veco Go devices we tested, suggesting it might be due to a specific issue with that device’s battery.

6. Price

The Veco Go is currently available for pre-order at a price of $24.99, with its official launch date scheduled for June 29th, 2023. Although its price is a bit higher than some of the more basic mod pod pen-styled vapes, it’s considerably less expensive than the high-end mod pod vapes on the market. This positions the Veco Go as a mid-range option, offering a balance between affordability and quality.

When considering the Veco Go as your next vape, it’s important to factor in the additional costs of e-juice and replacement pods. The replacement pods are priced at $10.90 for a 2-pack. Depending on your vaping habits, each pod should last between one to two weeks.

7. Verdict

The Veco Go by Vaporesso offers a sleek design and impressive performance at an affordable price point. Its metallic exterior and robust polycarbonate pod design ensure durability, while the leak-proof design and pre-installed coil offer a hassle-free vaping experience.

The device’s 1500 mAh battery provides a substantial vaping duration, and the LED battery level indicator keeps you informed about the remaining battery life. Although the charging time isn’t the fastest, it falls within the typical range for such devices.

The Veco Go’s performance is characterized by full-bodied, warm hits and significant vapor production, making it an excellent choice for cloud chasers. The adjustable airflow valve offers flexibility, catering to both new vapers and experienced ones with its MTL and RDL settings. However, a minor inconsistency in hit quality at lower battery levels is worth noting.

Priced at $24.99, the Veco Go offers good value for money, positioning itself as a mid-range option in the market. The additional costs for e-juice and replacement pods, priced at $10.90 for a 2-pack, should also be factored in when considering this device.

Overall, the Veco Go is a commendable choice for those seeking a balance between affordability, quality, and performance in a mod pod vape.
